The late James Garner who had a career spanning almost 60 years. Never once dropped or altered his accent in any way at all. When cast as old Noah Calhoun in the 2004 tear jerker, "The Notebook" Garner's character was supposed to do a southern accent as the movie was set in South Carolina.
