Super Bowl 2019: All The Trailer Drops You Need to See

Sure Football’s Great, But Did You See These New Trailers?!?

Super Bowl LIII came and went and all that you’re left with now is a feeling of joy or disappointment, depending on whether or not you’re a Patriots fan, way too many leftovers and THESE BRAND NEW TRAILERS (which is what we’re all watching the Super Bowl for in the end anyways…right?). In case you were distracted by that seven layer dip during commercial breaks or were still in awe over SpongeBob’s killer performance, we put together a list of the top trailer drops from last night’s game that you might have missed. Considering CBS charged advertisers close to $5 million for a 30-second TV spot, which is equivalent to 20 Instagram posts from Kendall Jenner for reference, according to our friends at Digiday, these trailers were not cheap to drop and definitely hit hard. Check them out!

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (August 9)

If you grew up in between the 80s-early 2000s, you probably remember and are still spooked by Alvin Schwartz’s “Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark” trilogy. You know, “The Big Toe”, the “Jangly Man”, “The Pale Lady”, and “The Red Spot”? Well these terrifying tales have finally been adapted for the big screen by Guillermo del Toro and all four were teased at during yesterday’s game. Check out the trailer compilation below!

Us (March 22)

Get out! Another trailer! Alright jokes aside, Jordan Peele did surprise everyone with a second trailer for his upcoming mystery thriller “Us” right before the Super Bowl yesterday and based on the success of his academy award winning film “Get Out” and the eerie tone of this new trailer, we’re expecting another horrific success. The film follows Adelaide Wilson (Lupita Nyong’o) and her family as they visit her childhood beach house where they are confronted with secrets from her past and an unwelcoming group of strangers that are revealed to look exactly like each member of the family. Check out the trailer that Peele originally posted to this subreddit!

Alita: Battle Angel (Feb. 11)

The highly anticipated release of this live-action CGI adaptation of the beloved manga and OVA, “Battle Angel Alita” also blew us away with a new action-packed trailer, with only one week remaining until the film’s big screen release. The new trailer reveals Mahershala Ali as the wicked Vector and follows Alita who ensures us to not under-estimate who she is, topping off the statement with a brutally awesome standing kick. Check it out here:

Toy Story 4 (June 20)

It’s the sequel we never expected and now we have even more questions! This new trailer finds Woody and Bo Peep in search of Buzz Lightyear, who seems to be stuck in an amusement park game. Why? We’ll have to wait until this summer to find out what our Toy Story crew is up to, but check out the sneak peak for yourself below!

Avengers: End Game (April 26th)

Support groups for Steve Rogers, new armor for Tony Stark and Nebula and a gun range for Black Widow; it seems that each remaining Avenger has their own way of coping with the damage left since Infinity War. But, as Captain America says in this new trailer, “Some people move on, but not us.” Looks like they’re getting ready to fight and we’re definitely ready to watch.

Captain Marvel (March 8th)

Carol Danvers went higher, further and faster in this new teaser and while it was short, it was still effective and continued the momentum and excitement surrounding this upcoming film. Alongside Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Starforce leader Mar-Vell (Jude Law) and her friend and fellow Air Force pilot Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch), Captain Marvel is ready to fight. All we can do now is “try and keep up”.
