He Will Find You, He Will Kill You
Despite getting on in years, Liam Neeson has showed no sign of slowing down, given how it seems we can’t blink without the superstar Irishman appearing on screens in some-kind of new action flick. While he appears to be going for a more comedic touch with his latest venture Cold Pursuit, we still can’t help but be reminded of some of his most iconic on-screen kills.
#5: Donât Do It, Son!
âRun All Nightâ (2015)
Fatherhood brings its own set of challenges, though chances are none of them come close to what Liam Neeson has to put up with throughout the course of one hellish night in this crime thriller. As the ex-enforcer tries to protect his son from a mob boss and an onslaught of dirty cops. He manages to prevent him from taking a lifeâ¦by doing it himself in a much grittier fashion. Grade A Parenting there, Liam.
#4: Death by Coat Hanger
âTaken 2â (2012)
When Liam Neeson gives you a way out, you really should take it. In the sequel to âTaken,â Murad Hoxha, father of one of the kidnappers that was killed in the first film, seeks vengeance against good olâ Bryan Mills. So he makes the fatal decision to try and âtakeâ our heroâs wife and daughter. This of course leads our favorite leather jacket-wearing marksman to shoot down practically everyone who works for the Albanian mafia leader. When Mills offers to spare Muradâs life in exchange for peace though, he unwisely objects. Thus: death by coat-hanger.
#3: The Groundhog
âDarkmanâ (1990)
When you want to get even with a hired gun, you might as well do it in the most satisfying way possible. As Darkman, Liam Neeson goes on the warpath to get back at those who destroyed his life. One recipient gets a particularly nasty ending as heâs held up above an open manhole until he comes face to face with an oncoming car. Thatâs one nasty speed bump.
#2: The Light Switch
âTakenâ (2008)
Out of all the people Liam Neeson has killed throughout the âTakenâ trilogy, this guyâs death was by far the most satisfying. Coming face to face with the man that kidnapped his daughter, Mills tortures Marko Hoxha with a very basic yet effective style of electrocution. Able to fry his body instantly, the retired CIA field operative reduces the despicable villain to a crying mess with a few flicks of a switch. You should have believed him when he said he would find you, Marko.
#1: The Not-So-Fast
âRob Royâ (1995)
You put Liam Neeson in a kilt, and heâs still a badass! Playing real-life folk-hero Rob Roy MacGregor, in this adventure flick, Neeson not only delivers a fantastic performance similar to what many consider to be the Scottish Robin Hood, but also his greatest kill. At the filmâs climax, Rob Roy faces against Archibald Cunningham, the British aristocrat who victimised MacGregorâs people and raped his wife. While the Chief of Clan MacGregor gets cut up for the better part of the duel, our man finally delivers the killing blow⦠by holding down his enemyâs sword with one hand to free his other one to practically cut Cunningham in two. Now thatâs how you get revenge in the 18th century!
