Blazkowicz Will Return: Wolfenstein III Is On The Way

Terror-Billy Is Ready To Bust Some Heads

Letting loose mournful monologues while blasting off the heads of robotic Nazis with a laser rifle, BJ Blazkowicz’s most recent incarnation has earned him universal praise from gamers. While the depiction of a future ruled by the Third Reich is shown to be a truly harrowing one, the overwhelming joy of tearing its soldiers to pieces made for an oh so satisfying experience, creating a unique balance that had fans enthralled from beginning to end. Now it seems that our grizzled hero is dusting off those trigger fingers for round three!

According to an article on Gamespot

“When Bethesda announced the spinoff Wolfenstein: Youngblood at E3 this year, you might have wondered if Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was the end of the story for series protagonist BJ Blazkowicz. If you did, your worries are misplaced. Wolfenstein III is coming, Bethesda vice president of global marketing and communications Pete Hines told Metro in a recent interview.

‘Absolutely we’re making a Wolfenstein III,” he said. “They said on stage that they’re taking a break from the larger story to do [Wolfenstein: Youngblood]. But we all have to see how that ends.’

As for the next Wolfenstein game, Youngblood will be set in the 1980s and stars Jessica and Sophia, the twin daughters of BJ Blazkowicz, as they continue the war on the Nazi scourge. You can play it solo or in co-op. Also coming next year is the VR game Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot.”

Given the craziness that Blazkowicz got up to in A New Colossus, we can’t wait to see how MachineGames manage to one-up themselves in terms of the darkness of the characters, not to mention what kind of hellish Nazi contraptions we’ll be demolishing next. One thing is for sure, there had better be copious amounts of Fergus Reid!
