Top 3 Bat-Family Members Who Deserve Their Own Game

Give Nightwing His Own Signal!

From his time on the SNES all the way to the Arkham games, the Caped Crusader certainly has had no shortage of video games to his name. For the most part, they have managed to excel expectations and even influence the gaming community as a whole thanks to their fluid combat mechanics, emphasis on detective work and much darker take on the Bat’s rogues gallery. He’s also had some help along the way thanks to a steadfast group of allies, some of who have been severely shafted when it comes to the limelight.

While various DLCs and games like the Injustice series have allowed allowed players to assume the mantle of the Bat-Family, we still think that some of these costumed crime-fighters are due a solo outing of their own!

#3: Batgirl

Whether it’s the triumphant return of Barbara Gordon or the likes of Cassandra Cain, it’s time that this key member of the Birds of Prey got her own game. It was certainly a blast to hunt down the Joker in the Arkham Knight DLC, but we think its time the character outgrew the controversy of The Killing Joke and got herself a game that both highlights her resourcefulness as well as symbolises her as a standout female hero that all can aspire towards.

#2: Nightwing

The Dark Knight’s first ward has certainly been busy since he left his mentor’s side. He’s protected the city of Bludhaven, gained some mortal enemies of his own, even going on to the lead the Teen Titans against some world-ending threats. There’s certainly enough material here to craft a video game around the former boy wonder, one that could allow for a little less grit and a little more style given his tendency to make endless amounts of quirky comments. One thing’s for sure, the game would have to feature some pretty slick motorcycle gameplay!

#1: Red Hood

The Robin that got his wings clipped. His debut and DLC in Arkham Knight certainly managed to capture the torment and violence that now consumes his life, but if there’s any member of the Bat Family that could offer a contrasting video game experience, it would be good ol’ Jason Todd. Given his lack of empathy when it comes to killing, not only would a Red Hood game allow for frantic firefights and action sequences, but also allow for the inclusion of a mortality system, one that could explore the broken psyche of the second Robin in intimate detail.
