Top 3 Things We Want To See In The Wolf Among Us Season Two

Who’s Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?

Right off the back of the monster success that was the first season of The Walking Dead, Telltale Games delivered what many consider to be their magnum opus with The Wolf Among Us. An adaptation of Bill Willingham’s Fables series, the episodic murder mystery focused on the antics of Sheriff Bigby Wolf and his efforts to solve the motives behind the killing of a fellow fairy tale character. It was gritty, dark and served as an excellent reimagining of timeless characters. Oh, and Bigby is a complete and utter badass!

Now with the second season approaching, we’re hoping that Telltale can deliver another epic, one that manages to live up to the legacy of its predecessor.

Fair warning, there are MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW!

#3: Bigby and Snow

The relationship between these two was oddly heartfelt, with Snow serving as the anchor for Bigby’s humanity, at least if the player chose to try and play things a little less big and bad. Hopefully the second series will further explore their relationship in an organic way, perhaps even offering the option for these two lost souls to find happiness along the way. Come Telltale, give puppy love a chance!

#2: Deadlier Enemy, Bigger Mystery

One of the strongest things the first game had going for it was the enticing mystery surrounding the Fable known as Faith. Hopefully the sequel’s new narrative maintains the same focus, keeping us on the edge of our seats while leaving us guessing as to what the next twist will be. Following on from that, a new series calls for a new nemesis. The Crooked Man was all well and good, but now we need something to really test Bigby’s mettle. We certainly have no shortage of famous fairy tale villains after all.

#1: Choices That Matter

Our actions across Fabletown in the first game either painted Bigby as the monster everyone feared him to be, or showed he had the potential to be the Sheriff that the city deserved. While we understand that the sequel will take us in a different direction and offer brand new choices for us to pick, we hope that the events of Season One still resonate strongly in all the right places. Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead’s later seasons may have faltered, but let’s hope the Big Bad Wolf is able to keep his eye on the prize.
