Top 3 Miracle Of Sound Songs

He’s Rocking and Rolling from Thedas To Westeros!

Aside from reviewers, gamers and other outspoken individuals, Youtube has also provided a platform for various musicians to showcase their talents. Among the top-tier just so happens to be one of Ireland’s unsung indie champions. Known to the online community as Miracle of Sound, Gavin Dunne is a one man band who has released various tracks throughout the years, most of which happen to be based on video games, films and television shows. This winning combination has made him something of an online rock god. After all, the only thing better than an epic symphonic track is one based around Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Game of Thrones, Saints Row, The Witcher, Skyrim, Mass Effect, there’s no title that Mr Dunne can’t turn into an awesome song. While he has ten albums under his belt, we still feel that these three hits stand at the pinnacle!

#3: Halfman’s Song

Given the scope of the world, the richness of the lore and complexities of the characters, HBO’s hit fantasy series is practically a treasure trove of content. Over the years, Gav has managed to craft multiple songs out of the Seven Kingdoms. Mother of Flame and No One are also stellar hits, but none can compare to the track that explores the psyche of Tyrion Lannister. The haunting atmosphere and poignant lyrics only further highlight why the Dwarf of Casterly Rock is the show’s best character.

#2: Lady of Worlds

While Wake the White Wolf was an excellent tribute to the Witcher’s journey, much like Ciri herself this song was a very pleasant surprise. Thanks to the addition of Ailín Kennedy and her breath-taking vocals, this song paints a dazzling picture of both Geralt’s and Ciri’s struggles in their battle against the Wild Hunt. It’s so good that we wouldn’t be surprised if Dandelion found himself replaced should the franchise ever came back for a fourth instalment…

#1: The New Black Gold

Other tracks such as Commander Shepard and Sovngarde Song certainly have the potential to be considered Miracle of Sound’s signature song, but to our mind no other title fits the bill more than Adam Jensen’s own personal, ominous anthem. Much like Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the song feeds into the theme of conflict between humanity and its bitter relationship with augmentation. Much like it’s spiritual successor, The Natural Heart, The New Black Gold perfectly captures Jensen’s philosophical and physical trials though a rather chilling melody.
