Who Will Waste The Wall Crawler?
He blew us away with his spectacular return in Civil War, managed to win us over with endless charm in Homecoming, and is poised to take on Thanos’ forces in Infinity War. We think its fair to say that by this point Spider-Man has finally made his web within the MCU, and we can’t wait to see more of what our friendly neighbourhood hero has to offer. We know he has a sequel on the way, but that still begs the question who will star as his new foe?
Spidey certainly has no shortage of villains in his rogues gallery, so we can only hope one of these guys get the same treatment as the Vulture should they be chosen!
#3: Carnage
We imagine this would be more of a giant middle finger to Sony since they snatched up Venom, but given the reinterpretations of Scarlet Witch and all the other characters in the MCU, there’s no reason why a symbiote-less Cletus Kassidy couldn’t work. Having a high school student face off against a serial killer? Now that’s raising the stakes.
2: The Scorpion
We already got a taste of Michael Mando’s take on Mac Gargan, and we are dying to see more. It’s Vaas from Far Cry 3 playing the Scorpion! It would only make sense for this villain to make a reprisal in the sequel given that one post-credit scene, but we’ll have to wait and see whether he’ll elevate from lackey to full on nemesis.
#1: Kraven the Hunter
He’s one of Spidey’s oldest foes, and an especially deadly one at that! Much like how Homecoming recreated some of the most iconic moments from the comics, a chance to see Kraven’s Last Hunt adapted to the big screen would be a joy to behold. We can’t imagine them including every bloody aspect, but can you imagine how thrilling their citywide game of cat and mouse would be?
