Battles, scuffles and conflicts are all par for the course when it comes anime that lie squarely in the action genre. The most memorable ones are undoubtedly the brawls that take on unique angles, whether in its animation on its use of character, all to deliver a standout exchange of fists that leave audiences gasping for more. Given their track record for destruction, we’ve paired various characters from across series that we think would more than deliver if they for some reason came to blows. Let the crossover madness begin!
#10: Master Roshi vs Genkai
They may be old, but these two still know how to kick a serious amount of ass. Kamehameha vs. Spirit Gun anyone?
#9: Crocodile vs Gaara
Both notorious in their younger years, both using an entire desert as their weapons of choice. This fight would decide who truly is the Sandman.
#8: Android 18 vs. Makoto Kusanagi
Femme fatales with inbuilt cybernetics that allow both to operate as living weapons, this one is a tough call to make. 18 may have the power, but the Major is the ultimate hacker.
#7: Dio Brando vs Homura Akemi
Don’t let looks fool you, both of these dark souls have the power to freeze time as they see fit. Would The World be strong enough to defeat the strength of a vengeful magical girl?
#6: Mob vs Saiki
Their powers combined could easily destroy the earth, but which psychic can outplay the other? Mob at 100% is a force to be reckoned with, but Saiki has so many abilities we’ve kind of lost count.
#5: Jotaro vs Kenshiro
Two of anime’s manliest men trying to punch the crap out of each other would be the most beastly sight imaginable. Kenshiro can make people explode with a mere poke, but Jotaro’s Star Platinum wouldn’t make things easy for him.
#4: Monkey D. Luffy vs. Natsu Dragneel
The future pirate king has turned elasticity into one of anime’s deadliest powers, all the while the dragon’s son is a walking inferno who thrives on battle. This would be a true war of attrition.
#3: Cell vs. Meruem
The ultimate android views itself as a perfect being with an arsenal worthy of the title, all the while the King of Chimera Ants has been known to be able to take monumental damage and just brush it off.
#2: Light Yagami vs. Lelouch vi Britannia
This would be a battle of wits, not fists. Light’s genius and use of the Death Note would be pitted against Lelouch’s resources and mind-controlling Geass. Think of it as killer chess.
#1: Goku vs Saitama
The eternal debate. Can one of anime’s strongest beings (who keeps levelling up every time we see him) still manage to take on a man who can demolish any foe with just one punch?
