War And Death Have Got Nothing On Her!
The Darksiders series is definitely a underappreciated gem when it comes to the hack and slash genre. Taking on the role of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, players had to slice their way through all manner of demons, angels and literally everything else in-between! The bosses were huge, the gameplay frantic, and offered a rather rich take on the war between heaven and hell.
We decimated our foes as War, fought against corruption as Death, and now we’re going to be hunting down the seven deadly sins as Fury. And from the looks of things, she’s just as if not more capable than her brothers.

Darksiders 3 was revealed earlier this year and will be the latest addition to the Darksiders series. The game will follow Fury, one of the Four Horsemen as she hunts down personifications of the seven deadly sins who will be bosses in the game. Now, in a new IGN video, we get to see some gameplay of Fury facing off against a lava brute.
The visual style is colorful and striking and is immediately noticeable in the video. Along with this, combat is fast-paced with some lulls in between when dodging enemy attacks. Fury’s whip certainly seems like an interesting weapon as it is used not just in combat, but is also essential in traversing the environment.
Darksiders 3Â is set to be released some time in 2018 and will be available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Admittedly, the series has become a little bogged down since packing in every kind of religious figure you could expect, even padding it with elements such as time-travel. Hopefully Fury’s solo outing will be just the thing the series needs to get back on its feet.
