Stranger Things 3: Top 5 Things We Need (And ABSOLUTELY Don’t Want) To See

WHY is Netflix keeping this curiosity door locked!? Here are 5 things we absolutely need to (and one thing we don’t) want to see in the upcoming third instalment of Stranger Things. Warning: Spoilers ahead!

5) Joyce and Hopper

Come on… the tension between these two edgy characters is undeniable, and started brewing long before Bob Newby (may he rest in peace) came along. While our hearts are still tender from the loss of the adorable superhero Bob, who better to move on with than the rugged Jim Hopper? These two characters are perfect for each other, and their shared history leads us to believe that there might be more to their relationship than just… well… chain smoking and hunting down demons from other dimensions.

4) Steve and Dustin

This meme worthy pairing has fans begging for more. In a prime example of character development at its finest, Steve Harrington has gone from just a guy with a luscious head of hair to a bona fide… Dad? We can’t imagine what this unlikely couple will get up to in season 3, but we are living for it. Steve and Dustin forever.

3) NO Kali!

This is probably the most, and the only, hated episode of Stranger Things. This storyline seemed pointless in the context of season 2, and Kali and her gang of misfits sucked. Kali used El (or should we say Jane?) for her powers and manipulated her. We can’t stand to see El being mistreated under any circumstance, so we hope this storyline died with the Mind Flayer.

2) A new monster

Stranger Things has taken many cues from Dungeons and Dragons, from the Demogorgon to the Mind Flayer, which, in addition to its interdimensional thirst for blood and species domination, bore a striking physical resemblance to the Thessalhydra, which was alluded to in the last episode of season 1. So what D&D monster is next? Our hopes are set on the Beholder, whose central eye blasts enemies with devastating rays. Hey, go big or go home.

1) Will Byers

Noah Schnapp wowed audiences with his performance as Will Byers in Stranger Things, but he brought it to another level in season 2. Now that we’ve seen Schnapp’s affinity for Mind Flayer induced insanity, we need more depth to his character. Since Joyce, Jonathan and Nancy cooked the Mind Flayer from his body, what’s next for Will? Does he possess some leftover otherworldly powers from his stint as an interdimensional spy? Will he ever be able to live life as a normal kid? And for the love of God, will he ever jam out with Jonathan to the Clash again? Whatever’s in the works for this character, Schnapp will undoubtedly leave us speechless once again.
