Laid-Back Camp: Most Relaxing Anime Of The Year?

Prepare For Ultimate Chill

We have had no end of amazing series come out this year. Everything from intense fantastical action such as Fate/Apocrypha and The Ancient Magus’ Bride, beautifully animated wonders that compel us to reflect on philosophical issues such as Kino’s Journey and Made in Abyss, as well as a few sensually charged laughfests like Food Wars: The Third Plate and Kakegurui.

However, for those that are eager for a much more relaxing viewing experience, you may want to check out this upcoming series.

According to an article on Crunchyroll

For the upcoming premiere in January 2018, the official website and Twitter for the TV anime adaptation of Afro’s camping-themed manga Yurucamp/Laid-Back Camp unveiled a key visual featuring its five main girls who enjoy camping by bonfire against the background of Mount Fuji. Rin is drinking a hot drink, Chiaki is eating toasted marshmallow, Aoi and Saito-san are chattering, and Nadeshiko is taking a picture of the team including herself.

The OP song “SHINY DAYS” is confirmed to be sung by 18-year-old singer Asaka (A Centaur’s Life ED song), and it will be released as her 3rd single on January 24, 2018. And the ED song “Fuyu Biyori” (Winter Weather) is performed by 28-year-old Eri Sasaki (Plastic Memories OP), and it will be available as her 3rd single on the same day.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old voice actress Yumiri Hanamori, who is cast as Nadeshiko Kagamigahara, starts a six-episode web series “Yumiri Hanamori’s Camping Introduction for The First Time” that follows her various attempts to camp by herself.

Our guess would be that we are due for a series of short episodes featuring a colourful cast of characters indulging in the great outdoors, with the likely outcome being both calming and comedic.
