While video games these days have reached the stage where many of them are pretty much cinematic experiences, there are some that we would still love to see have their time on the silver screen! We couldn’t just think of ten though, and these additional entries still deserve their chance to get their big break!
#10: “Castlevania” series
The recent Netflix adaptation was quite a hit, and its been a long time coming since we saw a decent on-screen Dracula. Give us something we can sink our teeth into!
#9: “God of Warâ series
Seeing Kratos rip apart Gods and Titans alike would be a bloody feast for the eyes. Especially when it comes to the deaths of Poseidon and Hercules (shudders)
#8: âXCOM 2″
It’s got a great concept but still more than enough room to allow for an original story to play out. Plus, we can finally see the aliens win the war for once.
#7: âCommand and Conquer: Red Alertâ series
Nazis, Soviets and a new Japanese superpower fighting each other is all fine and dandy, but want we really want to see is the actors from the games reprise their roles. J.K. Simmons as the President, Tim Curry as a Soviet Commander and George Takei as a sassy samurai!
#6: âBeyond Good and Evil”
A unique and original sci-fi game with a well-developed female protagonist? Recipe for success!
#5: âMetal Gear Solidâ series
It may be packed to the brim with historical references, narrative expositions and an over-abundance of stealth, but seeing Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece translated into a movie could be a triumph if put in the care of a capable director.
#4: âLife Is Strangeâ
Teen angst and time travel all held together by a murder mystery element. There’s enough angles here for multiple demographics to get invested.
#3: âTo The Moonâ
The uniqueness of River and Johnny’s relationship will bring the tears, while seeing them blast off in that space shuttle will bring the cheers.
#2: âDishonouredâ
A revenge story, a steampunk world, supernatural powers, and a masked protagonist; modern Hollywood lives for stuff like this!
#1: âUnchartedâ series
If they nail Nathan Drake’s signature wit, then this series has the potential to become the new Indiana Jones!
