5 Things To Know About Stranger Things Season 2 Teaser

It’s official! Netflix announced that season two of Stranger Things will premiere on October 27. The announcement came with a teaser trailer, which provoked a whole lot of questions.

Reader beware: SPOILERS AHEAD

Here are 5 things you should know about Stranger Things Season 2 Teaser:

5) It’s 1984: A year has passed since Will’s return.

4) Hopper with a shovel: We see Hopper either stabbing something with a shovel, or digging a hole with a shovel – either way it was in the trailer, so it must mean something big.

3) “Welcome to Hawkins”: We see the boys speeding on their bikes past the “Welcome to Hawkins” sign. We can safely assume by their speed, and the raging red sky above Hawkins that they are likely headed in the direction of some seriously crazy stuff, as per usual.

  2) Eleven’s Back: YAY ELEVEN! We see El open her eyes featuring a nosebleed.

1) The Demogorgon: We first see a glimpse of a hand-drawn picture of the Demogorgon, bigger than ever, towering over Hawkins. THEN in the final shot we see the Demogorgon just like the picture seen from over Will’s shoulder. Poor kid can’t catch a break!

So, it looks like the Upside Down is going to become right-side up and in the sky above Hawkins. We suspect we’ll be seeing more of Will and also Eleven, who’s hopefully alive and well. Hey, maybe we’ll even see Barb!

Things will undeniably become stranger in the season 2! A deeper dive into the Upside Down is coming. We can’t wait!

In case you forgot, here’s what happened at the end of season 1:

5) Barb was still missing. And sadly, nobody seemed to care. Still…

4) Joyce can finally relax. Although we’re not sure if she actually ever will.

3) Hopper and the Egg — While in the Upside Down with Joyce looking for Will, Hopper found an egg. This alludes to the origin of the Demogorgon, but maybe it also pointed at the presence of yet another monster. Maybe we’ll find out in season 2!

2) Eleven was gone! Did she die? Was she sucked into another dimension with the Demogorgon, which – by the way – she blasted into smithereens with only her BRAIN? We don’t know where she went, but she went somewhere.

1) Will has returned! Hey Will! And everything seems all right until he coughs up a slug and has a vision of the Upside Down. Well, they had to keep things strange for season 2!

Season 2 of Stranger Things premieres October 27 on Netflix.
