Join MsMojo as we count down our picks for the Top 10 Unforgettable Heidi Klum Halloween Costumes!

#10: The Forbidden Fruit

For the 7th Annual Heidi Klum Halloween Party, the German supermodel took inspiration from the Book of Genesis, specifically the story of Adam, Eve and the forbidden fruit. Klum arrived dressed as a snake slithering through the infamous apple, a costume that her frequent Halloween design collaborator Martin Izquierdo stated was extremely difficult to pull off, as Klum was pregnant at the time. Talk about an ingenious way to hide a baby bump! While she’s not afraid to show up to a Halloween party solo, Klum brought her ex-hubby Seal along for this one, with the Grammy winner dressing up as “scantily clad” Eve. Uh, #couplegoals.

#9: Betty Boop

In an example of one sex symbol informing another, Heidi Klum decided to dress up as Betty Boop for this early 2000s Halloween costume. For those who may not be aware, Betty Boop is an animated character from the 1930s, typically appearing as a Jazz age flapper girl, who took on sex symbol status thanks to her buxom figure and sultry personality. Klum added an extra layer of sexiness to her portrayal of Betty Boop when she donned the costume at the Dolce & Gabbana's Halloween Party back in 2002. From the dress to the curls and everything in-between, Klum knocked this one out of the park!

#8: The Werewolf from Michael Jackson's "Thriller"

Now this is how you make an entrance! For her 18th annual Halloween Party, Heidi Klum enlisted the help of a group of friends to pull off one of the craziest red-carpet appearances in recent memory. The group re-created the music video for Michael Jackson’s iconic 1982 song “Thriller”, with Klum donning a werewolf costume similar to the one The King of Pop wore in the original video. Surrounded by a horde of the undead and dancing their way through the streets of NYC, Klum once again managed to take the art of dressing up for Halloween to a whole ‘nother level!

#7: Cleopatra

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, which wreaked havoc on the United States’ east coast in 2012, Heidi Klum was forced to postpone her annual Halloween party. While she initially released a few photos of her planned Cleopatra costume, which were unsurprisingly gorgeous, Klum decided that that wasn’t enough and rescheduled her party for December 1st. There, she unveiled and even better Cleopatra costume. Klum collaborated with make-up artist Bill Corso to add hundreds of crystals to her face, creating a truly dazzling effect that, when combined with the rest of her costume, had all the heads on the red-carpet spinning!

#6: Butterfly

In 2014, Heidi Klum achieved something we could have never predicted: metamorphosis. The former Victoria's Secret Angel transformed into a butterfly for her 15th Annual Halloween Party; which was held at Tao Downtown, a trendy Manhattan club just minutes from Times Square. Klum took advantage of the proximity to the quote on quote “Center of the Universe”, stopping to snap a few pics in her costume before heading to the party. Between the bulging eyes and colorful bodysuit, we feel confident claiming Klum’s costume was the talk of the party. We just have one question: how did she fit through the front door with those wings?

#5: Robo-Klum

Just when you were starting to think Heidi Klum had reached the summit of Halloween costume mountain, she trots out this not-so-little number. In 2010, Klum decided to go futuristic, donning a red and purple robot costume that appears to be a cross between characters from the Transformers and Power Rangers franchises respectively. The costume, which featured a whole lot of latex and some seriously lifelike makeup, required Klum to use stilts, pushing her height to an eye-popping 8 feet! We honestly feel sorry for anyone who attended this party thinking they would one-up the master. Bow down, people.

#4: Old Lady Klum

We cannot begin to express how much we love this costume. In 2013, Heidi Klum gave us a glimpse into the future, sort of. The former Sports Illustrated cover girl showed up to her annual Halloween bash dressed like a senior citizen, complete with grey hair, wrinkles, varicose veins and a cane. Of course, in true Heidi Klum fashion, the costume was insanely lifelike, and would have no doubt fooled anyone who didn’t already know it was her underneath all that makeup. Is it just us, or does Klum still look incredible? Some people have all the luck.

#3: A Human Cadaver

Okay, seriously, stop. For her 12th Annual Halloween Party, Heidi Klum once again blew minds with an out-of-this-world costume. The getup required Klum to don an anatomically correct, hand-painted bodysuit, designed by Martin Izquierdo. In a sit-down with People Magazine, Klum said, “It’s kind of like a dead body with the first layer of skin ripped off. It’s basically like me naked.” And with every vein and muscle on display for the world to see, she’s definitely not wrong. The outfit also required Klum to wear specially designed prosthetic teeth and she arrived on a gurney towed by a couple of blood-soaked surgeons. Is it just us, or do you get the feeling Klum’s Halloween budget is more than most people’s mortgages...?

#2: Jessica Rabbit

You know your costume game is on point when you’re literally unrecognizable. In 2015, Klum decided to tackle yet another animated sex symbol: the incomparable Jessica Rabbit from the classic 1988 flick “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”. Thanks to a series of prosthetic enhancements, Klum was able to replicate the character’s wildly unrealistic figure; from the voluptuous bosom to the puffy red lips. Klum completed the look with a pair of purple opera gloves and matching eye shadow, a brilliant red wig and Jessica Rabbit’s trademark red dress; with a slit that just keeps on going. We’d say Klum nailed the character’s curvaceous figure and larger-than-life persona.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions:

Heidi Klum & Co.

The Gold Lady

Lady Godiva

Hindu Goddess

Cat

#1: Fiona from "Shrek"

The thing that separates Heidi Klum from her peers when it comes to Halloween is simple: she commits. This was never more on display than in 2018, when she and boyfriend Tom Kaulitz dressed up as everyone’s favourite cinematic ogres, Fiona and Shrek. The duo arrived in an onion carriage and brought a trio of ogre babies along for the ride. Forget playing dress-up, this costume appears to have been ripped right off the silver screen, with Klum’s facial prosthetics appearing to be the result of hours in the makeup chair. We’d say good luck topping this one, but by now we know better than to doubt Heidi Klum when it comes to her Halloween outfits.
