#10: Cindy Aurum
“Final Fantasy XV” (2016)
Boys, her eyes are up there. While on the ultimate road-trip to try and save their kingdom, Noctis and crew encounter this busty beauty after their car breaks down. Luckily for them, Cindy happens to be a whiz when it comes to repairing cars, and also seemingly against buttoning up her top. With her bubbly personality and handy ability to upgrade the Regalia, she became a welcome supporting character who was all too easy to fall for. Alas, she’s married to her work so don’t expect any dates any time soon. Good on you for trying though Prompto.
#9: Mileena
“Mortal Kombat” series (1992-)
Specifically, we’re taking about her Flesh Pit outfit during her first encounter back in 2011’s Mortal Kombat reboot. This clone of Kitana fused with Tarkatan DNA may not have the best dentistry, but toss a veil over her mouth and look past the carnivorous psychosis and she remains quite the looker. This is especially true during her introduction, where her clothing consisted of nothing save a few bandages. We’re not sure how they managed to cling to her proportions, especially throughout all that combat, but regardless still made for quite the gander.
#8: Felicia
“Darkstalkers” series (1994-)
Here kitty, kitty. With a constantly cheerful personality and the dream of one day becoming a musical star, the last thing you’d expect would be for this cat-woman to be any good at fighting, but as many a Capcom and Marvel character have found out the hard way, Felicia does indeed have some claws on her. Then again, it’s not just her cute and innocent nature that distracts opponents, given that her clothing consists of next to nothing. Well if music superstardom doesn’t work out she could always try burlesque.
#7: Poison Ivy
“Batman: Arkham” series (2009-)
Even if you’re aware that a single kiss from her spells your doom, this iconic Batman villain certainly doesn’t make it easy when it comes to trying to resist temptation. All superpowers aside, her outfit leaves very little to the imagination, what with an open red top and underwear that looks like it’s made from leaves. Sure, she’ll summon giant plants to devour you the first chance you drop your guard but you still have to hand it to Ivy, she makes tree hugging look oh so attractive.
#6: Mai Shiranui
“The King of Fighters/Fatal Fury” series (1991-)
They don’t call her the alluring ninja for nothing. Should you find yourself taking on this skilled shinobi as an opponent across her many appearances in a variety of fighting games, then chances are not only will you have to avoid her fire-based techniques, but also try not to be distracted by her…uh…accessories. Something that is not made easy by the fact her uniform seems to be permanently loose, ensuing that for every punch and kick she throws there’s also plenty of top-heavy manoeuvres. Remind us why Andy Bogard keeps turning her down?
#5: Rachel
“Ninja Gaiden” series (2004-)
When taking on an enemy as numerous and as powerful as the Fiends, we’re sure that the Dragon Ninja Ryu would happily take any help he can get. Who would have guessed it would be a hunter with a talent for handling massive hammers and a love for all things leather? With her combat uniform cut in such a way that her huge chest and midriff are constantly on display, we’re not sure that it will have much effect on monsters like Fiends, but we can imagine it took a lot of discipline for Ryu to remain focused on the mission while Rachel was around.
#4: Ivy Valentine
“Soulcalibur” series (1995-)
We guess the hunt for the ultimate sword draws all types, including British heiresses whose clothing has only seemed to have diminished over the course of the franchise. With the task of destroying the infamous blade known as Soul Edge, Ivy has become an iconic in part due to her skill her signature sword style…but mostly due to the fact that her appearance has gotten to the point where it seems her clothes can barely contain her assets. The fact she’s able to fight so well despite her dominatrix-brand of clothing, excessive proportions as well as in heels is a true testament.
#3: Quiet
“Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” (2015)
Look, Kojima, we love your games and think you’re a genius of the industry, but you’re not fooling anyone when it comes for the reason why this sniper has to wear as little clothing as possible. An infamous soldier that ends up joining up with Snake, due to a parasitic form of surgery Quiet is left with a condition that has her breathing through her skin, meaning that too much clothing and she will literally suffocate. As such, for her to be an effective member of Diamond Dogs, the lesser the better. Uh huh, whatever you say Kojima.
#2: The DOA Girls
“Dead or Alive” series (1996-)
Say what you want about other fighting games, at least some of their female characters are…well, actual characters. Then we have the lovely ladies from Dead or Alive. Oh sure the game might tell you that some of them are the most deadly fighters and assassins in the world, but in all honestly the likes of Kasumi, Honoka, Ayane and the rest are closer to the likes of sexy cosplayers, whose choice of clothing defiantly isn’t built for combat. I mean come on, There’s an entire side-series dedicated to them in bikinis or less battling with their backsides.
Before we reveal our number one pick, here are a few honourable mentions.
Maya
“Killer Instinct 2” (1996)
Neith
“Smite” (2014)
Mina Majikina
“Samurai Shodown” series (1993-2008)
#1: Strawberry Banana
“Onechanbara Z2: Chaos” (2014)
Ok we may be slightly cheating here since this isn’t so much about the characters but more about a DLC; one that takes the already curvaceous female characters of the game and removes all of their clothing. Oh wait, we mean takes away all of their clothing save for replacing their undergarments with tiny fruits that cover up their more intimate areas. The sheer raunchiness and lunacy of the whole thing is almost laughable, because nothing makes a hack and slash game about vampires more enjoyable than by covering their nipples up with strawberries.
