When celebrities clash with British wit, the results are legendary! Join us as we count down the most uncomfortable moments when stars got roasted on "Never Mind the Buzzcocks"! From dramatic walkouts to smashed mugs, these celebs couldn't handle the heat of the UK's most savage music quiz show. Our countdown includes Preston's infamous walkout, Donny Tourette's smoking meltdown, Russell Brand getting his biography torn apart, Huey Morgan smashing his mug, Simon Amstell being humiliated by Davina McCall, and more! Which celebrity meltdown did you find most entertaining? Let us know in the comments below!

#10: Jedward

We’re starting things off with arguably Ireland’s most famous twins. John and Edward, better known as Jedward, came on as guests in 2010. Jack Dee was the night’s host, who ended up losing his patience with the duo. Supposedly, Jack was so brutal that the pair ended up crying, making the episode a nightmare to edit. Phill Jupitus got fed up with them, too, along with the majority of the show’s audience. Years later, we can see why people disliked the brothers, but we’re nostalgic for that era, so we find them less obnoxious with hindsight.

#9: Ed Sheeran

One of the UK’s most famous singer-songwriters has a reputation for being a relatively humble and down-to-earth guy. Despite this, he gets on a lot of people’s nerves, mainly because they find his music overplayed. Early in his career, he joined Noel’s team on the series, with Richard Ayoade hosting. Things took a strange turn when Ed began oversharing about his romantic life. Everyone seemed to be laughing together, but still, his admissions were super embarrassing. You can see the singer get increasingly awkward as Noel and Richard pry for more details, getting quieter and quieter as it goes on.

#8: Jack Whitehall

This comedian and actor is often typecast in stereotypically posh roles, as characters who are often more annoying than not. This has led many people to find him irritating, largely on account of his posh-boy persona. When he hosted this show years back, he found himself getting roasted by the panel. Things were made more awkward by Johnny Borrell’s presence, who, once upon a time, had a thing with Jack’s sister. The comedian is clearly comfortable poking fun at himself, but here he may be genuinely upset at the entire interaction.

#7: Noel Fielding

Opinions of this surreal comedian are often divided. Some love him from his “Mighty Boosh” days, others find him a poor replacement for Mel and Sue on “Bake Off”. For years, Fielding was a regular on the show. This often led to clashes between him and other guests, but more often with Simon Amstell than anyone else. As you can expect, there are plenty of examples of Simon mercilessly roasting him, as he was known to do. Noel would always try to get the last word in, but sometimes, he wouldn’t be able to one-up Simon’s dry wit.

#6: Dappy

If you paid a modicum of attention to pop music in the late 2000s, you’ll remember the hip-hop trio N-Dubz. One of their members is Dappy, recognizable by his comically large hats, often worn at unusual angles. Not everyone was fond of Dappy at the peak of his fame. He famously started threatening a woman who called into BBC Radio 1, saying she disliked him. Phill Jupitus might be inclined to agree, as he straight-up walked off stage after finding one of his jokes rubbish. Dappy instantly looks dejected, then starts desperately trying to get him back. Thankfully for fellow teammate Charlie Brooker, Phill returns before the end of the segment, but doesn’t get the answer correct.

#5: Simon Amstell

While there’s no shortage of viewers who adore Simon’s hilarious but brutal sense of humor, many find him far too mean. Even Phill Jupitus said he nearly quit the series because of it. Apparently, it led to them struggling to find contestants willing to appear. Well, sometimes he’d end up getting a taste of his own medicine, often served up to him by Noel Fielding. One time, it was Davina McCall, who brutalised him by broadcasting a clip of Simon when he was especially young. It’s easily the most embarrassed we’ve ever seen him, but if you know any funnier examples, let us know in the comments.

#4: Huey Morgan

This American musician is most well-known from the band Fun Lovin’ Criminals. Years ago, he appeared on the game show with Rizzle Kicks as the hosts. Huey got especially frustrated because the hosts kept saying his own lyrics back to him. Eventually, he freaked out, smashing his mug and shouting at the studio. The hosts tried to defuse the situation, but Huey isn’t biting; instead, he just sits there in a mood. Later on, he revealed he was at a “personal low point” when he appeared, supposedly being in the middle of moving house, which explained his tantrum.

#3: Russell Brand

Over the years, Russell Brand has become increasingly hated by the public. It’s not just his sense of humor or style, but mainly because of his toxic and unpleasant behavior. Back when he was at the peak of his career, Simon constantly threw shade at him. Alongside doing a savage impression of him, he once brought out his biography and started tearing it to pieces. This was a joke he did often with guests, and Russell sticks out as one of the few celebrities who especially hated it. It’s a reminder to be thankful for the fact that we’ll never see Russell on a panel show nowadays.

#2: Donny Tourette

When you think of meltdowns on the series, Donny Tourette is probably one of the first that comes to mind. Everyone else was making the punk rocker the butt of their jokes the whole time, often clashing with Billy Bailey. It took him a while to realise, but when he did, he was far from happy. He even begins smoking at one point, since he’s so fed up with it. Thankfully, he stays on the whole episode, unlike some other individuals who lacked his patience. Donny’s team loses in the end, a result he seems pretty displeased with.

#1: Preston

In the entire show’s history, no one had a meltdown quite like Preston’s. The singer is best known from the Ordinary Boys, alongside “Celebrity Big Brother.” When he came on the series, Simon decided to pull out his wife’s biography, which immensely upset Preston. The reality star didn’t have the patience for it, so he just straight-up walked off stage and didn’t come back. Hilariously, they decide to replace him with the most similar-looking audience member Bill Bailey can spot. Despite being a random man, his banter is almost instantly miles better than Preston’s.
