Top 10 Naruto Power Awakening Moments

Youd think someone as overpowered as Madara Uchiha wouldnt need a power-up at all. But when you plan to hypnotize the world with a giant eye on the moon, you gotta have that extra juice. After nearly killing Naruto, Sasuke, and most of the revived Hokage, Madara has the most casual, yet epic transformation ever. As he strolls along, he effortlessly absorbs the enormous Ten-Tails to become its jinchuriki. His hair turns white, his skin pales, and his fit somehow gets even cleaner. The staff and balls orbiting him certainly dont hurt either. Only Madara could pull off a transformation with this much swagger.

Naruto and Sasuke may have been beaten initially by Madara, but they both make a comeback in style. The duo receives new abilities from the Sage of the Six Paths. And sure, Sasuke also gets a new power at the same time, but a different eye is much less dramatic. Naruto dab kicks one of Madaras orbs away and revives Guy from certain death. And he throws in a few new Rasengans for good measure. To top it all off, in addition to his own new eye design, Naruto also sports a new chakra cloak outfit. Madara doesnt know what hes in for!

Madaras apprentice also takes a turn at being the Ten-tails jinchuriki, and he beats the elder Uchiha to it. Just when the allied Shinobi forces think theyve beaten Obito Uchiha, the misguided villain reveals hes not down for the count. As he lies bleeding at the 4th Hokages feet, Obito absorbs the Ten-Tails. He shifts first into a kind of egg, before hatching to reveal a scaled, horned version of the form Madara later perfects. While Obito may not have as much drip as the other Ten-Tails jinchuriki, the transformation itself is far more involved.

Sasuke has less prominent transformations than his rival Naruto, but he still gets a few impressive ones. After being discovered during his attempt to infiltrate the Kage Summit, Sasuke is attacked by the Raikage, in revenge for the apparent death of his brother. The speedy, muscular Kage delivers what seems to be a devastating powerbomb on the Uchiha, only for Sasuke to reveal his Mangekyo Sharingan. His newly acquired eyes have gifted him an incomplete form of Susanoo. The ghostly, skeletal armor not only looks incredible and terrifying, it also helps Sasuke survive further devastating blows from the Raikage that would otherwise definitely be lethal.

Seeing the girl whos gonna become your wife apparently killed in front of you is enough to make anyone lose it. But Narutos rage brings out a new level of the Nine-Tails chakra inside of him. His Six-Tail form is angry, red, and surrounded by a partial skeleton. Naruto uses this form to beat the crap out of Hinatas would-be killer, Pain, for most of the episode. However, even Pain forming a mini-moon around Naruto to crush him isnt enough to stop his anger, or transformations, and he unleashes Eight-Tails worth of chakra. We wouldnt blame Pain if hed run away right then. Its not every day a giant, skinless fox screams at you

To say Narutos relationship with the Nine-Tails has been contentious would be quite the understatement. However, Naruto is able to at last befriend the fox, Kurama, during a crucial moment on the battlefield. As he arrives in a flash, he deflects five massive attacks effortlessly, and also debuts a transformation so cool, Kakashi mistakes Naruto for his father! But Narutos glowing new getup isnt the end of this transformation! He follows it up by going into a full-on giant chakra fox form and duking it out with the other Tailed Beasts. Thats the power of teamwork.

Even after he becomes Hokage, Naruto isnt done with gaining new powers. In the fight against Isshiki, Naruto is trapped. With no other option, he and Kurama agree on using a form of last resort - Baryon Mode. He then busts out of his confines and touches down in front of Isshiki, saving his son and Sasuke from the villain and revealing his glorious new look. Sporting a deep red chakra cloak and looking more foxlike than ever, Naruto proceeds to drain the lifeforce of his opponent by punching him. Its unfortunately a double-edged sword of a power-up, but that only makes Baryon Mode even more memorable in its sole appearance.

The first fight between Naruto and Sasuke sees both of them unleash every power they have against each other, while obtaining some new ones too. After Naruto is seemingly bested, the Nine-Tails decides to grant him more chakra than ever before. Naruto rises with the aid of the chakra, and after decking Sasuke in the face, he becomes enveloped in an orange cloak. His first Tailed transformation forces him to move on all fours. Its also able to manifest many clawed arms made of chakra, which prove overwhelming for Sasuke. The transformation is a standout part of a fight thats already full of fantastic moments.

You never forget your first power-up, and Narutos initial transformation remains an iconic one. During he and Sasukes fight against Haku, his rival is apparently killed by the rogue masked ninja. Naruto is already a hothead, but the death of his friend sends his rage skyrocketing, allowing him to access the chakra of the fox inside him for the first time. The orange aura coming off him, as well as Kakashis fear upon feeling it, lend a sense of menace and dread that most of Narutos other power awakenings cant equal.

Tragedy hounds the life of Obito Uchiha, and its this particular moment that fuels the awakening of his most famous power. Obitos reunion with his friends Rin and Kakashi is cut short - along with Rins life. Although both Kakashi and Obito awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan as a result of Rins death, Kakashi passes out. Obito, meanwhile, decides to vent his grief at losing the girl he loves by slaughtering the Mist Ninja that were after Rin. Obitos new eyes allow him to phase through all their attacks, and the ensuing battle is one of the darkest, and most brutal fights in Naruto. However, that has only ensured that like Obito, well never forget it.
