VOICE OVER: Aaron Kline WRITTEN BY: Aaron Kline
Just like its predecessors, "Diablo IV" has some pretty hard bosses. For this list, we'll be looking at the bosses that gave us hell, whether it be from difficult abilities to dodge or just their pure power. Our list of the hardest "Diablo IV" bosses includes Avarice The Gold Cursed, Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, The Butcher, Astaroth, and more!
Script written by Aaron Kline Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we’re traversing through hell to count down our picks for the 10 hardest bosses in “Diablo IV”. While there are some bosses that are complete pushovers, I’m looking at you Brol, some are a pain and will truly test your skills. For this list, we’ll be looking at the bosses that gave us hell, whether it be from difficult abilities to dodge or just their pure power. Which boss filled you with rage? Let us know in the comments.

Blood Bishop

One of the most annoying bosses, the Blood Bishop has a mix of attacks that truly makes this fight difficult. The Blood Bishop has powerful spirit projectiles that are rather easy to dodge, but if they hit you, you’ll feel it. Not only will you have to dodge those projectiles, but the Blood Bishop also lays Blood Clot Mines that you’ll have to focus on and if they pop they’ll explode for high damage. Both those attacks are nothing compared to the Bloodsucker. When playing with a team, this attack is easy to dodge - simply let your teammates get hit - but when alone the Blood Bishop only has eyes for you. Bloodsucker will have the Blood Bishop grabbing you and sucking the life force from you for a short time.

Astaroth

Fighting Astaroth was so much fun as we were always on the move keeping up with him and his cerberus-like demon dog. This battle takes place in phases and each phase is in a small arena for us to take Astaroth and his beast on. Astaroth has basic but deadly melee attacks with the combination of his cerberus spewing fire from each month. While these attacks alone are deadly, Astaroth can also summon meteors that fall and land for big damage. Unlike most fights, Astaroth isn’t limited to one small arena, but runs through a town wreaking havoc. Chasing Astroth through the burning town made for one epic fight.

Andariel, Maiden of Anguish

It’s no surprise Andariel is bound to the wooden structure. This fight is broken up into two phases, the first being Andariel while bound to the structure, the second being when she breaks free from it. Each phase feels unique and offers a nice change up in the fight while getting more difficult at the same time. Andariel will start off by performing more ranged attacks with beams that are easy to dodge, but it can get a bit overwhelming when she starts to bombard you with attacks. The second phase has Andariel break free from her shackles and she is now much faster and more aggressive. She will now use melee and chain attacks that will bring you in for closer strikes. While the first phase seems like a walk in the park, once Andariel breaks free, the true challenge begins.

Wandering Death, Death Give Life

World bosses are some of the hardest in the game. Any boss that takes the whole lobby to kill is hard in my books. Wandering Death lives up to its name, as each attack can cause death. Wandering Death can cause some real damage with their slashing attacks and arm slams. To go along with the melee attacks, some attacks will leave corruption that moves around the arena. By far the deadliest has to be Wandering Death’s beam attack. This beam will instantly kill anyone it touches. All in all, Wandering Death is the easiest world boss, but even the easiest world boss is still difficult.

Elias

Elias is Lilith's right hand man, so of course he’s hard. For starters, Elias doesn’t fight fair, he creates minions that we also have to worry about on top of his powerful attacks. Powerful homing attacks combined with ones that cover the ground make for a real challenge. Elias also has beam-like attacks that cover most of the arena and deal high damage, but can easily be dodged. While Elias puts up a good fight, he’s no match for our warrior and meets his maker at the swamps.

Broodguard

Hope you're not scared of spiders because this one is big and dangerous. Broodguard is an optional boss that puts up a real challenge. Broodguard is pretty much a buffed up Spider enemy, sharing the same attacks, but with much more damage and speed. Broodguard can summon spider minions that will fight alongside it and fill the arena with webs. Filling the arena with spider webs is annoying enough, but also throwing poison into the mix will have you stuck while taking damage over time. Make sure you have all your potions when you’re fighting this spider. You’ll need them.

Avarice The Gold Cursed

Risk and reward is the name of this boss. A dangerous world boss that, if you can defeat them, will grant you gold and loot. Avarice has basic melee attacks that they perform with their mace, and while they deal a good bit of damage, these attacks don’t compare to the next two. Avarice’s gold vomit attack acts like poison does. If you stand in it, you’ll be taking damage over time, and boy does it hurt. These are easy to avoid, but while fighting a world boss it can be easy to get lost in the thick of things. Avarice’s most powerful attack has to be their gold portal. This attack has Avarice going through a portal only to come out the other side and lay down some serious damage.

Ashava The Pestilent

The final world boss, Ashava takes up a lot of the battle arena and deals quick and powerful melee attacks. Ashava likes to fight up close and personal, so be on the lookout for their bite and smash attacks which happen quickly and deal high damage. If you’re playing a ranged class or just want to run away, that may be difficult as well. Ashava has a leap attack that will get anyone trying to flee and bring them back into the fight. With Ashava being a power house that likes to bring the fight to you, it’s no surprise that they have a powerful melee attack that does damage in 360 degrees. Ashava likes to fight and all their abilities help bring everyone into their range. Luckily we don’t have to take them on alone.

The Butcher

Also in:

Hardest Elden Ring Bosses

With a name like The Butcher, you have to be terrifying. The Butcher is a random dungeon boss, so you could stumble upon him by accident and he’ll most likely chop you into little pieces. There is nothing special about The Butcher. He has basic attacks that are buffed for high damage output. What makes him so hard is that he’s relentless. No matter what you throw at The Butcher he just keeps coming. His powerful attacks combined with his charge attack means no one is safe and no one can run. This guy is so hard that he has caused close to 2% of all deaths in “Diablo IV”. He’s turning everyone into chopped liver.

Uber Lilith

Of course Lilith is the hardest boss in “Diablo IV”, I mean she is the main baddie. While the first encounter with Lilith is hard enough, Uber Lilith is that boss fight, but cranked to one thousand. The Uber Lilith fight is the same fight we had at the end of the game, but much more difficult. We still have two phases with the first phase being pretty easy. Simply dodge her attacks and go in for the kill. The Second phase was always hard in the first fight, but with Uber Lilith it’s even harder. Lilith will still continuously make the battle arena shrink while bombarding you with attacks, but when Uber Lilith is here some of these attacks are one hit kills. Uber Lilith is uber difficult and honestly the hardest boss in “Diablo IV”
