10 Games That Let You Destroy EVERYTHING
Broforce (2015)
With the litany of characters all boasting their own different projectiles with unique properties, it can be easy to let loose and just blow up the map all willy-nilly. Indeed, the game almost encourages you to get as destructive as possible. However, recklessness can easily put you in a bind. Just about every piece of Broforces levels are destructible, meaning too many explosions can wind up making certain areas impossible to reach. You basically want to be cautiously chaotic as you take out baddies and rescue more bros.
Blast Corps (1997)
Ah, an N64 classic. Before they became famous for Banjo-Kazooie and Conkers Bad Fur Day, Rare put out this hidden gem where players have to escort a ballistic missile through various levels. The only way to ensure everyones safety is by destroying anything in the missiles path, and almost everything in the level is going to be in its way. So, youll have to commandeer various vehicles to mow down buildings and move objects before the missile outpaces you. Unfortunately, the only way to play Blast Corps is if you own an Xbox One or Series XS and have access to the Rare Replay collection, which you can usually get for dirt cheap these days.
Destroy All Humans! (2005)
Many of us have dreamed about being a hostile alien and razing various 1950s-style landmarks. No? Just me? Well, regardless, Destroy All Humans is perfect for those wanting to be a diabolical extraterrestrial. On foot, Crypto can terrorize humans with a variety of weapons to probe, vaporize, or incinerate them with. But with his UFO, you can level entire cities with weapons like the Death Ray and Quantum Deconstructor. Soon enough, youll turn the area into a total flatland of ash and rubble, which can either reveal hidden drones for more DNA or make them harder to reach.
Battlefield: Bad Company (2008)
The Battlefield series in general is the most destructive online FPS game you could possibly play. This is a series where you must always keep in mind the structures youre taking cover in as a few shots in the right places could cause the whole thing to collapse on you. But the reason were choosing Bad Company specifically is because this is where Battlefield was truly at its best, especially when it came to destructible environments. There was a certain level of chaos at play here that the rest of the franchise just hasnt lived up to, which is a real shame considering the technical advancements made with newer game engines and consoles.
Red Faction: Guerrilla (2009)
Now, if you want a game with environmental destruction, then sure, go ahead and play the first Red Faction game. But what makes Guerrilla so unique is the same reason why we put the spotlight on Battlefield: Bad Company. While you cant destroy the terrain, you can destroy various structures to accomplish your mission. You can try to blow open a wall and infiltrate the structure or straight up try to demolish every wall along the perimeter. Either way, you can accomplish your goal however you see fit while still reaping the rewards from the rubble of whatever you destroyed. Youll soon grow to appreciate the Geo-Mod engine here.
BeamNG.drive (2015)
If youre someone who craves total vehicular destruction, there is no game more explosive than BeamNG.drive. Sure, you can just compete in races and really appreciate the level of physics on display across the tracks and vehicles. Or you can just spawn in a bunch of obstacles and toys that allow you to witness absolute annihilation! There are so many objects that will twist, crunch, warp, rip, and shred through your vehicles that its almost hard to not laugh and risk looking like a maniac. While BeamNG.drive is still in early access after all these years, the sandbox is still being updated to this day. So, twenty-five bucks for a game thats received a decade worth of updates is pretty fair.
Worms series (1995-)
In the world of Worms, youre going to want to destroy as much of the environment as you can get away with. Ideally, you do want to aim for your enemys worms as often as possible, but physics can either make or break you depending on your strategy. Though, environmental destruction is a major component in winning. Depending on which game youre playing, you can put your enemy at risk of falling off the map or even succumbing to some kind of hazard. Just keep in mind that your opponent can inflict the same level of damage and misery, so be aware of your positioning at all times. And dont be afraid to sacrifice a worm or two if it means inflicting pain on your foe.
Rampage series (1986-2006)
Now, this is an oldie but a goodie! The entire premise around the Rampage games is that you are a big monster in a big city. Put two and two together, and youll realize what you need to do. Climb buildings, smash buildings, maybe break away and fight your friends if youre playing with them. So long as you keep track of the kinds of power-ups youre grabbing and avoiding the ones that harm you, you can wind up being a real terror of whatever metropolis youre tearing through. Sadly, the poor performance of 2006s Rampage: Total Destruction has forced the IP into total dormancy. The rights were transferred to Warner Bros in 2009 after the conglomerate bought Midways name, logo, and assets during its liquidation. And we all know how WB is doing in 2025
Donkey Kong Bananza (2025)
This might actually be the most destructive game Nintendo has ever conceived! The first Donkey Kong 3D platformer since 1999s Donkey Kong 64, Bananzas main appeal stems from how the homosapien hero can completely wreck the world however he sees fit! Tear out chunks of the land to demolish other parts of it, all in search of treasured Banandium Gems. You can even rip off pieces of the giant rock enemies to use against them, or use rocks to surf across the ground. The world of Bananza is quite literally your playground, but theres still one game that has yet to be surpassed in being the most destructive game weve ever seen.
Teardown (2022)
Blocks are always flying when playing Teardown! In this sandbox puzzler, players will have to do anything and everything they can to perform a heist; steal as many valuable objects as you can before the time is up. Heres the catch - you have unlimited time to prepare, but the second you break anything, the alarm goes off and the timer begins. Sixty seconds to get in, grab the valuables, and get out. But thats the main campaign. If you just wanna mess with the physics and vehicles, there is a Sandbox mode you can play in without any consequences. Both modes are a ton of fun to partake in!
