Every year has its stand out titles, and 2010 was packed with excellence. These titles included the excellent franchise reboot Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, the psychological thriller Alan Wake, the wild west adventure Red Dead Redemption, and the strategic interstellar battle simulator StarCraft II. It also included a spectacular return to BioShock's underwater city of Rapture, Kratos' final mission to slay the gods of Mount Olympus in God of War 3, once again saving the universe in Mass Effect 2, fighting off a massive Covenant invasion in Halo: Reach, planet jumping in Super Mario Galaxy 2, and battling through the cold war in Call of Duty: Black Op.
