What is the Bechdel test? To pass, a movie must feature at least two women who are named speaking to one another about something besides a man. The test was created to show the gender inequality in films and other fiction. Would you think that a rom com such as How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, How to Marry a Millionaire, American Pie or Goodfellas would pass the test? How about the infamous sexist movie, Transformers, or a horror film such as The Human centipede?
