Canadian pairs figure skaters Jamie Sale and David Pelletier became household names across the world in 2002 during the Winter Olympic figure skating scandal that saw the Russian pair win Gold, despite obvious flaws in their performance. The Canadians were subsequently also awarded gold, but not before the sport's reputation was marred.
