Formed in 1984, Annihilator is a band out of Ottawa, Ontario. While that city is not known as a hotbed for metal music, or any music in general really, founding member Jeff Waters wanted to break the mold. And he certainly did: the band's 1989 release 'Alice in Hell' proved ultra successful, and while they largely fell of the radar in their native Canada, they continued succeeding overseas. In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com got the chance to speak with Waters while he was in town judging Heavy MTL's Battle of the Bands. He tells us why the band has remained popular in Europe and Asia while being relatively ignored in North America, and how his becoming a single father changed the band's trajectory.
