Hand Washing Prevents Colds and The Flu: Technique

Washing your hands may not seem like a big deal, but it can actually play a huge part in preventing the spread of common illnesses. It’s even more important for children, as little ones tend to come in contact with many surfaces during their days and often have their hands in their mouths. October 15 is Global Handwashing Day, in the hopes of raising awareness of its importance. In this video, WatchMojo.com speaks with Chantal Perpête, an infection control and prevention nurse at The Montreal Children’s Hospital, to learn more about the importance of handwashing, and to find out the proper hand washing method.
