Which Brooklyn Nine-Nine Characters Are You Based on Your Sign

Which member of the Nine-Nine is your sign-sign? Welcome to MsMojo and today we’re asking which “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” character are you based on your sign?

For this list, we’re looking at the cast of the police procedural comedy TV show and matching them up with the astrological sign that best fits them - and hopefully you too.

#12: Michael Hitchcock
Taurus (circa April 19 — May 20)

Tauruses are famed for their stubborn natures, and Detective Michael Hitchcock is incredibly set in his ways, being thoroughly attached to desk duty, as well as his own outmoded views on the world. This sign is one famous for its honesty, and say what you will about Hitchcock, but he’s honest…perhaps to a fault. Although Bulls like Hitchcock sometimes have trouble with authority, they are also fiercely loyal to their friends, and one of Hitchcock’s more admirable qualities is his decades-long bromance with Scully - though the same can’t be said about his relationship with his now-ex-wife.

#11: Rosa Diaz
Scorpio (circa October 22 — November 21)

Rosa Diaz is one of the most intense detectives at the Nine-Nine and her fierce, independent nature is the epitome of a Scorpio. Scorpios can come off as intimidating to others, and Rosa is certainly intimidating, but that’s only because she knows who she is, what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. While Rosa can have a prickly exterior, she does have a vulnerable side, particularly when it comes to love. Scorpios can be a mystery, but they’re worth solving.

#10: Gina Linetti
Sagittarius (circa November 21 — December 21)

While it’s debatable whether anyone is like Gina, the precinct’s civilian administrator and Holt’s former personal assistant is still a perfect Sagittarius. They are confident in themselves and Gina basically believes the universe revolves around her. Outgoing and friendly, those born under this sign are often very social, and despite Gina’s self-centeredness, she’s charismatic enough to wrap nearly everyone she encounters around her little finger. Gina and others born under this sign have a thirst for adventure and the unknown, which is certainly in line with her numerous ambitions.

#9: Terry Jeffords
Libra (circa September 22 — October 22)

Reliable and loyal, Libras have good heads on their shoulders, and while Lieutenant Terry Jeffords does enjoy a good yell, he’s still arguably the most responsible member of the Nine-Nine. Terry holds the precinct together and often acts as a peacemaker when arguments break out, a very Libra-like trait. The big man may be strong physically, but he also has a tender, emotional side; balancing him out like anyone born under the Scales.

#8: Jake Peralta
Leo (circa July 22 — August 22)

If you’re a Leo, you’re a Jake – it’s just that simple. Leos love to be the center of attention and that definitely describes Jake Peralta to a tee. Relentlessly optimistic - maybe sometimes too optimistic - Jake’s upbeat and friendly nature makes him friends with practically everyone in the precinct, and a Lion through and through. While his tendency not to look before he leaps can get Jake into trouble, Jake and his fellow Leos also have big hearts.

#7: Adrian Pimento
Gemini (circa May 20 — June 20)

The Gemini is also known as the Twins and represents the duality of human nature. And no one at the Nine-Nine exemplifies that quite as well as Adrian Pimento. A former undercover detective, Pimento suffers from paranoia and mood swings, which can cause him to jump from amiable to violent at the drop of a hat. Most Geminis probably won’t have much in common there, but Pimento’s presence always spices things up and he has an enthusiasm for life that anyone born under the sign can be proud of.

#6: Raymond Holt
Capricorn (circa December 21 — January 19)

The serious captain of the Nine-Nine, Raymond Holt is just about as Capricorn as you can get! Holt’s devotion to order and his attention to detail are common traits for the sign. Capricorns are hard workers and ambitious, and Holt has certainly worked hard to get where he is today. Holt, like many Capricorns, likes a routine. However, if and when they do try something new, they put everything they have into it and their analytical and practical nature certainly helps them along.

#5: Charles Boyle
Cancer (circa June 20 — July 22)

Cancers are very in touch with their emotions and it’s hard to think of a more emotional character on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” than Charles Boyle. This awkward detective wears his heart on his sleeve and is tremendously caring, almost too much so. But that’s what makes him such a good confidant. Boyle is a devoted friend who’s always there for his friends, particularly Jake. Like other Cancers, Boyle can come off as a bit eccentric, but there’s nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about what you like.

#4: Madeline Wuntch
Aries (circa March 20 — April 19)

Also known as the Ram, Aries frequently butt heads with others, and that certainly applies to Madeline Wuntch, whose long-standing rivalry with Captain Holt is legendary. Although their relationship primarily consists of petty insults, the duo has a mutual respect for one another. Like other Aries, Wuntch also has a tremendous drive to succeed, which is seen in how far she goes not only to sabotage Holt, but also in her pursuit of her own career advancement. She may be a grackle, but Wuntch’s confidence and determination are admirable.

#3: Doug Judy
Aquarius (circa January 20 — February 19)

Aquarians are a tough sign to pin down – just like this slippery criminal. Doug Judy, who you may know as the Pontiac Bandit, is both a criminal and somehow also one of Jake’s best friends. Aquarius is a sign of independence, and Judy’s disregard for the law certainly qualifies. Though even that doesn’t define him, as he’s a really cool guy despite his chosen profession. Aquarians also tend to be creative and enjoy the arts, and Judy, in addition to his Pontiac-centered criminal enterprise, is quite the performer too, having sung and played piano when he was a boat entertainer.

#2: Amy Santiago
Virgo (circa August 22 — September 22)

Virgos are very driven and hardworking, and few people love work as much as detective-come-sergeant Amy Santiago. The sign nicknamed the Virgin is one frequently associated with people who love discovery, and Amy’s love for learning makes her a perfect example. She’s also extremely organized. While her perfectionist nature can sometimes get the better of her, driving her competitive streak and making her critical of others, Amy’s heart is usually in the right place, and she’s as generous and kind as any good Virgo.

#1: Norm Scully
Pisces (circa February 19 — March 20)

Norm Scully may not be the best detective, but he excels in having traits like a Pisces. Pisces are usually easygoing and amenable, and Scully’s lazy attitude exemplifies this well. The sign is also known for its tendency for those born under it to be more creative and emotional, and Scully is certainly not analytical. While he’s no genius, Scully still uses his brain in different ways, speaking multiple languages and being quite good at puzzles. Pisces are also guided by their gut instead of their head and Scully…well…
