Script written by Spencer Sher

Individually, Beyonce and Jay-Z are music royalty. When they got together, the music industry were blessed with their talent. Over the years they've collaborated on some amazing songs! For this list we've included songs like Bonnie and Clyde, Crazy in Love, Upgrade U, Deja Vu, Drunk in Love and Crazy in Love!

#5: "’03 Bonnie and Clyde” (2002)

Top 10 Underrated Beyoncé Songs

Easily one of the early 2000’s most recognizable hip-hop tracks, “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” was the first of many a successful collaboration between Jay-Z and his then-girlfriend Beyoncé. The song benefited from a catchy beat, easy to remember hook and a clear chemistry between two of music’s hottest stars. Peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100, the song was praised as a “slick R&B crossover” but was deemed an “obligatory radio song” by others. It’s always fun when you can trace a famous couples roots all the way back to the beginning, and this song is one of the many markers that let the world know Jay-Z and Beyoncé were building something worth paying attention to.

#4: "Upgrade U" (2006)

If for nothing else this song deserves a spot on our list for the spot-on impersonation Beyoncé does of Jay-Z in the music video. Dripping with decadence and built around a thumping hip-hop beat that wills you into shaking your hips, “Upgrade U” featured an assertive Beyoncé proclaiming to the world that she had the power to enhance her man’s already impressive stature. The combination of Beyoncé’s kinetic energy and Jay-Z’s silky smooth delivery is simply too much to handle, as the duo makes it abundantly clear on this track that they are hip-hop royalty through and through.

#3 “Déjà Vu” (2006)

Only one word can be used to describe “Déjà Vu” and its accompanying music video; and that word is... sexy. A funk infused R&B track laced with some seriously steamy lyrics, the song was cooked up for Beyoncé’s second solo album “B’Day” back in 2006. Due to its cross-genre appeal and the fact that one of rap’s biggest names decided to lend his signature voice to its first verse, “Déjà vu” was chosen to be the album’s lead single. A hit with fans and critics alike, it would ultimately be nominated for a couple of Grammy’s as well as a BET award for Best Collaboration.

#2: “Drunk in Love” (2013)

The unofficial follow-up to their 2003 smash hit “Crazy in Love”, this Beyoncé and Jay-Z collaboration was viewed as an affirmation that their relationship was as strong as ever. The two artists juxtapose their unbridled passion for one another beautifully, with Beyoncé going for the less-than-subtle sexual innuendos and her hubby taking a slightly more blunt approach with lines like “we sex again in the morning.” It’s exactly that kind of raw sexual energy that made the song a runway success, spending eight weeks in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 en route to numerous awards nominations and two Grammy wins.

#1: “Crazy in Love” (2003)

Coming in at number one is a song that needs no introduction. The lead single off of her debut solo album, “Crazy in Love” made it abundantly clear that Beyoncé didn’t need to be flanked by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams in order to succeed. With Jay-Z by her side and a banging beat at her back, Beyoncé turned what could have been a run of the mill club song into one of the decades defining tracks. “Crazy in Love” topped music charts around the world, took home a couple of Grammys and has been a staple on “Best Of” music lists for years.
