Welcome to the secret society of fast food - It’s like Fight Club meets illuminati, but usually with extra hamburger patties. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’ll be counting down the Top 10 Secret Menu Items. Whether they’ll make it for you behind the counter or you have to assemble it yourself, these are the greatest secret menu items available. To be considered, they can’t be listed on the menu, and they can’t require a trip to multiple restaurants to get all the pieces. For the most part, these items are available across the United States.

#10: Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake Chick-fil-A

This one is a bit of unicorn, even in the context of secret menu items. If you like blueberry cheesecake (which you should), and you like the notoriously phenomenal Chick-fil-A milkshakes (again, you should), you’re going to love this hybrid dream treat. Unfortunately, not all locations serve the blueberry cheesecake dessert, and even those that do serve it are prone to running out of stock. But when the stars align and it’s available, go ahead and get a slice of cake blended into your milkshake. It’s divine. While you’re flexing the Chick-fil-A secret menu, why not start with a chicken quesadilla to make it a complete meal.

#9: Frito Pie Sonic

The restaurant chain that’s keeping old-school drive-in culture alive and well in America isn’t afraid to get a little weird with your meal if you ask politely. Frito pie… people tend to love it or hate it. But if you’re gonna give one a try for the first time, we highly recommend asking Sonic to make the introduction, because they make one mean frito pie. They do a classic interpretation, ripping open a bag of fritos from behind the counter, and loading it up with their signature chili and a generous helping of cheese. The salt content is pretty staggering, so make sure to get a drink to wash it all down.

#8: The Incredible Hulk Taco Bell

We don’t even care what’s in it. When you name a dish after Marvel’s gigantic irradiated green rage monster, you’ve deemed it to be epic, and it’s a challenge we’ll gladly accept. This five layer burrito could also be called “Operation: Drowning in Guacamole”. Fiesta Salsa replaces the nacho cheese sauce and sour cream, for a healthy choice. Yep, we were as surprised as you were to find a healthy choice on Taco Bell’s secret menu, but take one bite of this behemoth and you’ll understand why it’s become such a clandestine hit - it’s delicious, and unlike most taco bell dishes, won’t leave you in a food coma.

#7: Butterbeer Frappuccino Starbucks

Perfect for any occasion and featured prominently in the Harry Potter series, this beverage was described in such mouth-watering detail by author J.K. Rowling, we get parched just thinking about it. Thankfully, between the frozen, cold and hot serving options available at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it’s fair to say that Universal Studios has nailed bringing this once fictitious beverage to life. But we want butterbeer on the regular, and can’t afford the price of admission every time. Thankfully, the vanilla bean frappuccino at Starbucks, upgraded with shots of toffee nut and caramel syrup, provide a pretty superb alternative. While there, why not try other hit secret menu items, like the Biscotti Frapuccino, or their Dirty Chai.

#6: Meat Mountain Arby’s

Any climbing enthusiasts out there? Do you hope to one day scale the Andes, conquer Everest or best Mount Kilimanjaro? Well if you’re a big dreamer, but more realistically a big eater, Arby’s has an awe-inspiring mountain that you can overcome without ever leaving the comfort of your own city. In fact, this the only mountain in the world that should be faced from a seated position, as this secret menu item is probably going to leave you severely incapacitated. It’s a full sampling of Arby’s meats, featuring 2 chicken tenders, bacon, roast turkey, ham, roast beef, corned beef, angus steak, brisket, and naturally, three slices of cheese. That’s what we call a heavenly view.

#5: Barnyard Burger Wendy’s

This secret menu item is appropriately titled. Imagine if a wolf broke into a barn. But rather than simply tearing into the livestock like you’d expect, this wolf had a particular inclination towards the culinary arts. Think… Remy from Ratatouille, but carnivorous. This wolf would select the choicest meats from the barnyard, and put them together, cooked to perfection, in one immaculately crafted sandwich. Well, ladies and gentleman, that pretty much describes the Barnyard burger from Wendy’s secret menu. It takes their juicy beef patties, perfectly seasoned spicy chicken fillet and crispy bacon, and places it all between their signature buns. Whether you’re human or a wolf with a refined palate, It’s a burger that no meat-eater can pass up.

#4: Chicken and Waffles Sandwich (Chicken McGriddle) McDonald's

A surprising number of people have never tried chicken and waffles, and to those of you who fit into this category… Pause this video, go get some, come back, click play, and enjoy one of the greatest food combinations known to man (you can thank us in the comment section when you’re done, but wash the syrup off your hands first). Chicken and waffles gets messy, and is usually far from portable. Thankfully, the friendly folks at McDonald’s are willing to make you an interpretation of it for you in a convenient sandwich format. Order their crispy chicken filet in their delicious McGriddle breading, with a side of syrup, and you’ve got chicken and waffles to go.

#3: The Triple Down KFC

The double down, which consists of two fried chicken patties as buns, bacon, cheese, special sauce and absolutely no bread in sight, already sounds like a secret menu item. But no, in possibly one of the boldest moves in fast food history, that essentially said “we’re not even going to pretend to care about nutrition”, KFC unleashed this unbelievable product on the hungry masses. But no matter how ridiculous fast food restaurants are willing to become, the consumers will always look to up the ante. The triple down is exactly what it sounds like. Add another layer of fried chicken and all the fixings that separate it. Don’t forget to bring along your defibrillator. It’s a heartstopper.

#2: Quesarito Chipotle

Many secret menu items are just excessive. Take various items on the menu and stack them as high as you can. But the quesarito is a true example of innovation in fast food. Seriously, this thing is the result of divine inspiration. A decent amount of work goes into this secret menu item, so it’s a testament to Chipotle and their commitment to customer satisfaction that they’re willing to make it. This heavenly hybrid starts with a cheese quesadilla, which is then used as the tortilla wrapper for a burrito. Taco Bell has added a quesarito to their actual menu, piggy-backing on the hype, but Chipotle’s secret menu quesarito is the original, and vastly superior version. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. #1: McGangbang McDonald’s

McDonald’s, as arguably the most popular fast food franchise in the world, has inspired countless secret menu items. The Big McChicken gives a Big Mac the “triple down” treatment, replacing all the Big Mac Buns with chicken. The Monster Mac adds 4 extra patties and 7 extra slices of cheese to a Double Big Mac. We could list these monstrosities all day, but one secret menu item not only beats out the competition at Mickey D’s, but reigns supreme over secret menus everywhere. We’re talking about the McGangbang (or Churger in more polite company). A value menu hybrid, you take a Junior Chicken and put the whole thing in the middle of your McDouble. It’s affordable, delicious, and filling. Do you agree with our list? What’s your secret menu item of choice? For more mouth-watering top 10s published every day, be sure to subscribe to WatchMojo.com.
