#10: Ocarina Of Time Link (2016)
It’s no surprise that there are several variations to Hyrule’s greatest hero so there’s bound to be a Link amiibo in your collection... though it probably isn’t this one. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Legend of Zelda back in 2016, Nintendo released a series of amiibos, one of which featured Link playing that iconic ocarina of his. Since many gamers praise Ocarina of Time as one of the best Zelda games out there, they were quick to scoop up this figurine. Don’t worry, you can still find it on Amazon... for about $80 bucks. Yikes. Maybe we can play the Song of Time to go back to when this amiibo was still under $20?
#9: Player 2 Corrin (2017)

The Fire Emblem crew has always been a welcome addition to Smash Bros., so we were thrilled to see Corrin enter the fray as a DLC character. And, as a bonus, you could pick between a male or female version of the character... which spelled disaster for collectors everywhere because of course Nintendo made two different Corrin amiibo. And guess which is the rare one? Technically speaking, this amiibo variant is available online... it’s just gonna cost about $90 which, these days, is about double the price of the game that this character is featured in. Can we just... add extra hair to the original amiibo?
#8: Lucario (2015)
Insert “gotta catch em all” joke here. Seriously, we didn’t need any more excuses to collect Pokemon, but here we are, gathering amiibo of our favorite pocket monsters. You would think that someone like Mewtwo would be rarer, or Mew — if it existed... seriously, Nintendo, get on that — but it’s actually this fighting/steel type Pokemon who’ll give you the most trouble. Why? Because it was a Toys R’ Us exclusive when it was launched back in 2015. The only way to find it these days is by looking online, and you better be prepared to pay much more than what it originally sold for.

We feel like the Wii Fit Trainer was added to the Smash Bros. roster on a dare. Someone asked Nintendo, “Just how many of your characters are you gonna include,” and Nintendo responded by throwing in a fighter who used the power of yoga and stretching exercises. Naturally, an amiibo was in order, and this fitness guru held that pose so she could slide right into our steadily growing collection. While she doesn’t cost nearly as much as some of the others on this list, the Wii Fit Trainer can be pretty hard to find since she was one of the first to hit shelves back in 2014.
#6: Villager (2014)
The most dreaded word in the collector’s dictionary: reprint. Upon first glance, all of the Villager amiibos may look the same, but people on the Internet were quick to point out that there are differences between the original Smash Bros. Villager release and a second release of the figure. Putting the two side-by-side makes it crystal clear, from the size of the eyes to the width of that smile. You’ll have to shell out about $70 to get a hold of the first issue of our Animal Crossing friend, but the re-release is pretty darn cute if you’re content with having it in your collection... but you’re gonna get both, aren’t you?

Ha! Take that, Mario! Luigi’s done being second best! All he had to do was lose a hand. Eh, it could’ve been worse... too soon? While most of us would return our purchase if it had some kind of defect, if you’re a collector, there’s a chance that defect just made your item worth way more than what you paid for it. Such was the case for this Smash Bros. Luigi amiibo, the green-clad brother in his torpedo-like pose... without a left hand. Sources say that this prized item went for $500 on eBay. What can we say, sometimes being Player 2 has its perks.

Yoshi’s Wooly World is one of those games where you want the accessories that go with it because they’re so flippin’ cute! Seriously, who doesn’t want a yarn replica of Nintendo’s hungriest dinosaur? Especially if you can get one that’s bigger than the average amiibo. The Mega Yarn Yoshi stands at 7 inches tall, maximizing the adorableness to obscene levels... especially on our wallets, as it goes for as much as $100 on eBay. The worst part? It was a Toys R’ Us exclusive. Much like Lucario, it’s hard to tell what it’s value will be in the future, so hopefully, you snagged one before the stores closed.

Oh, Mario, we love you, but sometimes... you can be a bit extra. There are countless variations of Nintendo’s number one plumber — as to be expected — but this one? This one takes the cake, or rather, the golden flower power-up. Unfortunately, this amiibo won’t net you any extra coins when it touches things, but it will look good in your collection... assuming you can find one. Launching as a Walmart exclusive for the Super Mario series of amiibo, you can now expect to pay up to $80 for the Mushroom Kingdom’s golden hero. Sigh. All that glitters may as well be gold, we guess.

Why settle for one blaster when you can have two? Seriously, Nintendo, this is an upgrade we can get behind. Not to be confused with the 2017 Metroid series amiibo, this Smash Bros. Samus came with a pretty neat defect: an extra cannon on her arm. Decked out in her iconic armor, it definitely made the bounty hunter look more badass than she already was, and apparently, collectors agreed, as this item has been listed for as much as $2,500! We’re not sure if the protection of the galaxy is worth that much, but those Ridley battles are getting pretty intense, so… Before we get to our number one pick, let’s add these honorable mentions to our carts: Pit (2014) Marth (2014) Meta Knight (2015)

When Peach gets kidnapped one too many times, she takes out her aggressions with frying pans and extreme hip checks where her butt can send you falling flat on your face. Her Smash Bros. amiibo captures all of that sass, right down to the gold trim of her dress, but much like Luigi and Samus this figurine had a defect. This time? Missing legs. Not too big of a deal since you could tell yourself that the dress was covering them? So this rare amiibo sold for, what, a couple hundred? Maybe a few thousand? Try twenty-five, as in, twenty-five THOUSAND DOLLARS on eBay. Wow, that must be some lavish castle that our princess is now in.
