#10: Are We Brothers? “A Night at the Roxbury” (1998)

Also in:

Top 50 Greatest Movie Dance Scenes of All Time

Every man’s gotta have a code, especially when you’re trying to get into the hottest nightclub in LA. Of course, having a snappy catch phrase doesn’t hurt either. Based on the popular “Saturday Night Live” sketches, “Roxbury” features Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan as the douchey and delusional Butabi brothers, and boy, did they come up with the…cutest? catchphrase. They drop the YES-bomb on their parents, the general public, and they serve it up to party girls. But the best is when they attempt to melt the heart of one big bouncer. Does it work? Yes…Nooooo. It may not be the most original line, but their enthusiasm is infectious. Is infectious the right word?

#9: Defending the Domain “Home Alone” (1990)

In this holiday classic, young Kevin McCallister enjoys the perks of being home alone after missing a family flight to Paris. But when a bumbling duo of burglars appears, it’s up to Kevin to defend the home front with increasingly sadistic plans and traps. The inventive youngster takes extreme pleasure in thoroughly humiliating his uninvited guests, and as the Wet Bandits’ attempts to infiltrate the McCallister home are foiled by his brilliant plan, Kevin celebrates the results like a kid in a toy store.

#8: The Ecstasy of Link “The Matrix Reloaded” (2003)

Also in:

Top 10 Things We Want to See in the Upcoming Matrix Movies

In the second installment of the “The Matrix” franchise, the shit appears to be headed directly for the fan. With the rebel Niobe swerving through freeway traffic, Morpheus takes a wild leap from car-top to truck-top. But soon, gentle panic sets in as Morpheus realizes he may be in over his head. The fate of Zion lies in the hands of the the one and only Neo. As time seemingly stands still, the man in black swoops in to save the day, leading the “Neb” pilot Link to figuratively wet himself from excitement.

#7: Emo Data “Star Trek Generations” (1994)

Also in:

Top 10 Star Trek Movie Moments

Don’t you despise those nasty Duras sisters? After Captain Picard makes a deal with the klingon sisters for the return of Geordi, things go south for the Enterprise. Using a live-stream from La Forge’s hacked VISOR, the sisters’ Bird of Prey ship is able to bypass the larger ship’s shields and cause serious, serious damage. Pulling a dirty trick of his own, Lt Worf and a well aimed photon torpedo save the day, but it’s the android Commander Data and his newly installed emotion chip that speaks for the crew, and the audience – stunning us all with an aggressive display of emotion.

#6: Peppers “Old School” (2003)

It’s not everyday that you get to witness someone shoot themselves in the jugular with a tranquilizer gun – but some days you get lucky. The very thought of it induces a variety of emotions and raises a lot of questions, like “what would I do in this scenario?” Well, if you look like Peppers from “Old School,” the answer is probably simple – especially when you’re looking at a guy that doesn’t know what’s going on. There’s only one thing to say; you know what it is.

#5: The Turn Around ‘Yes’ “Legends of the Fall” (1994)

Also in:

Top 10 Movie Moments That Made us Fall in Love with Ryan Gosling

War led him away and war brought him home. After seeing that his fallen brother’s heart was appropriately buried in the Montana countryside, Tristan Ludlow falls in love with that brother’s beloved, a young dame named Susannah. Unfortunately for both, their relationship doesn’t sit too well with the senior Ludlow brother, Alfred, whom confronts his younger sibling during his morning cup of jo. When young Tristan makes light of the matter, he feels not only the wrath of big brother but also the very rare turning “YESSS”. Rare. Very rare indeed.

#4: A Public Promise “Yes Man” (2008)

Also in:

Top 10 Movies You Can't Watch in Public

Some people are downright negative, and there’s only one kind of enlightened soul that can instill an exuberantly positive outlook in such an individual: the crazy-eyed, inspirational guru. After being publicly shamed and tortured by the piercing blue eyes of Terrence Bundley, the down-and-out Carl Allen “sees the light,” or in other words, he convinces himself to be positive 24/7 regardless of the situation. Like the title says, this poor S.O.B. is the quintessential Yesssssssssss Man.

#3: Ice Cold Grishenko “GoldenEye” (1995)

Also in:

Top 10 Movie Scenes That Feel Like Video Games

Boris Grishenko has a particular set of skills, and it’s not charming the ladies. As a socially stunted computer programmer who was stuck in Siberia for a bit too long, he’s not exactly a social butterfly. Still, as tech guy to the film’s baddie Alec Trevelyan, Boris finds reasons to celebrate now and then. That’s when he makes sure his specs are plopped at the tip of his nose before saying... It’s a lame, repetitive catchphrase from a lame, repetitive man, but its payoff is still awesome. This guy was too cool for school. In fact, he was ice cold.

#2: The Ludovico Technique “A Clockwork Orange” (1971)

Also in:

Top 10 Controversial Movie Characters

Stanley Kubrick was known for his ambitious and thought-provoking films, and he upped the ante with his disturbing take on dystopian England in this film. Upon raping one woman and killing another, Alex DeLarge finds himself locked up and looking for a quick way out. And so, he volunteers for an experimental two-week therapy program to rid himself of all his violent ways. Unfortunately, the experience involves his favorite composer, Ludwig van Beethoven, and after a bit of forced viewing, the once cocky kid begs for mercy with eyes wide open. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions: - Bilbo’s Bling “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” (2001) - The Passion of Kip “Napoleon Dynamite” (2004) - He Saw the Light “Masterminds” (1997) - Do You Trust Me? “Aladdin” (1992) - Child-Like Joy “Jack” (1996)

#1: The Big O; The Big Oh Yes “When Harry Met Sally…” (1989)

It was the “Yes” heard ‘round the world – or at least throughout a busy New York City restaurant. In Rob Reiner’s story of missed connections, Harry and Sally find themselves conversing on the art of faking the Big O, and the misguided interpretations that can ruin a relationship. As Harry Burns confidently conveys his understanding of the female body, Sally Albright shuts him up with an unforgettable performance based on the faux female orgasm. The Big O, and the Big OH YES.
