They had to go somewhere! Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Lizzie McGuire Stars: Where Are They Now? For this list, we’re looking at actors from the Disney Channel series “Lizzie McGuire” and seeing what they’ve been up to in recent years.

#10: Christian Copelin

Christian Copelin appeared in 21 episodes of “Lizzie McGuire”, playing Matt’s best friend, the mute Lanny Onasis. The character never spoke, and instead used a combination of facial expressions and hand movements to communicate with others. Since the show ended in 2004, Copelin has, well, he’s been pretty quiet. He only appeared in two projects post-“Lizzie McGuire”, bit roles on “The Bernie Mac Show” and in the film “The Seat Filler”. He also wrote, produced and starred in a web series called “Tux”. However, barely any episodes were ever released and that was over a decade ago.

#9: Kyle Downes

Any show set in junior high is bound to have at least one nerdy character, and for “Lizzie McGuire” that character was Kyle Downes’ Larry "Tudge" Tudgeman. Tudge won fans over with his sincerity, intelligence and the fact that he always wore the same shirt to school. After the show ended, Downes continued to act, appearing in shows like “The L Word” and “CSI: Miami”. However, Downes true passion is directing. Since 2011 he has directed a handful of films (mainly shorts) while also serving as a writer and producer. While we applaud his success, he’ll always be Tudge in our books.

#8: Clayton Snyder

Clayton Snyder first entered the pop culture stratosphere playing “Lizzie McGuire’s” resident space-cadet hottie Ethan Craft, reprising the role in 2003’s “The Lizzie McGuire Movie”. When the “McGuire” train stopped rolling, Snyder decided to take a break from acting to focus on his education. He attended Pepperdine University on a water polo scholarship in 2006, earning an All-America Honorable Mention in the sport in 2009. After a few years playing professionally, Snyder returned to acting. In 2016 he starred in the miniseries “Edgar Allan Poe's Murder Mystery Dinner Party” and in 2018 he landed the role of Danny on the TV series “New Dog, Old Tricks”. With a handful of upcoming projects to his name, get ready to see more of Snyder in the future.

#7: Ashlie Brillault

Hillridge Junior High’s resident mean girl, Kate Sanders was brilliantly brought to life by actress Ashlie Brillault. While Kate and Lizzie had their moments together (they used to be best friends after all), Kate always tended to slip back into the role of the arrogant cheerleader when the dust settled. Brillault quit acting when the show ended and has since earned degrees in political science and law. Now a criminal defence attorney in California, Brillault claims that her “ultimate goal is to work on issues related to criminal justice reform." Brillault met her future husband while attending law school in Colorado and the two had a daughter in 2015.

#6: Jake Thomas

Top 10 Funniest Jake Peralta Undercover Moments

A child of the entertainment industry, Jake Thomas was already a known actor prior to being cast as Lizzie’s annoying younger brother Matt for the show. A schemer whose catchphrases never failed to draw laughs, Matt was the perfect embodiment of little brothers the world over. Post- “McGuire” Thomas booked gigs on a variety of shows, including “Cory in the House”, “ER” and “Criminal Minds”. In addition to acting, Thomas is also an avid photographer. And while he’s gone on to appear in lots of film and television projects, Jake Thomas’ name will forever be synonymous with “Lizzie McGuire”.

#5: Robert Carradine

A Hollywood mainstay for over 40 years, Robert Carradine’s filmography is dotted with roles in a number of iconic productions. However, you’d be hard pressed to argue that his portrayal of Lizzie and Matt’s clumsy, yet caring, father Sam isn’t one of his most famous. Carradine reprised the role in “The Lizzie McGuire Movie” and continued to act when the show came to an end. Some of his post- “McGuire” roles include playing a tracker in “Django Unchained” and co-hosting the reality show “King of the Nerds” from 2013 to 2015. Along the way he also appeared in a number of schlocky films like “Bikini Spring Break” and “Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda” but…we don’t need to get into that.

#4: Hallie Todd

One of the best relationships on “Lizzie McGuire” was between Lizzie and her supportive, though occasionally clueless mother, Jo. Jo McGuire was played by actress Hallie Todd, whose previous work included roles on “Brothers” and “Murder, She Wrote”. Since “Lizzie McGuire” ended, Todd has largely eschewed acting in favor of coaching less experienced actors. In fact, she’s written two books on the subject, Being Young Actors and Parenting The Young Actor, and continues to teach at her acting studio in California. She co-wrote and co-stars in the upcoming 2019 film “The Last Champion”.

#3: Adam Lamberg

If you’re wondering what happened to this former child star don’t worry, you’re not alone. For a few seasons and a movie, Adam Lamberg was David "Gordo" Gordon, one of Lizzie’s best friends and a perpetual member of the friendzone – until the end of “The Lizzie McGuire Movie” that is. Once the show wrapped Lamberg flirted with acting for a couple more years before deciding on more academic pursuits. He picked up a degree in geography from UC Berkeley before attending Baruch College and graduating with a master’s in public administration. Lamberg currently lives in New York City and works at the Irish Arts Center as a development associate.

#2: Lalaine

Lalaine has been busy since bidding adieu to the character of Miranda Sanchez, Lizzie McGuire’s best friend – though not always for the right reasons. Just three years after the show ended Lalaine was arrested and charged with drug possession and was later forced to spend time in a rehab facility. Since then she’s been doing much better, appearing in films like “Easy A”, as well as a handful of web series; including a couple of appearances as herself on the popular YouTube channel hosted by Shane Dawson. Lalaine had also released an album in 2003 anD later played bass for the indie band Vanity Theft in 2010.

#1: Hilary Duff

What hasn’t Hilary Duff been up to since “Lizzie McGuire” ended? The multi-talented celeb abandoned her Disney Channel roots long ago, starring in major motion pictures like “A Cinderella Story”, “War, Inc.” and the “Cheaper by the Dozen” film series, while also making appearances in TV shows such as “Gossip Girl”, “Community” and “Two and a Half Men”. Of course, that’s just the tip of the iceberg for Duff, who’s also gone on to have a successful music career, with a number of her songs cracking the Billboard Hot 100. If that wasn't enough, she's currently starring on TVLand's 'Younger' alongside Sutton Foster. Duff is also a mother of two, having given birth in 2012 and 2018 respectively. Talk about doing it all!
