Kicking off our list is the duo from the perhaps the first comedy to specifically market itself as a bromance tale. Peter and Sydney not only go on full-blown man dates, including boardwalk strolls, but soon uncover their soul mate status due to their undeniable love of Rush. Even at Peter’s wedding, the bride takes a back seat to their expression of true love.

Next up is the crassest bromance on this list, and it’s the only one that involves a teddy bear! Besties since a childhood wish came true, these pals drink and do bong hits together, and share a ridiculous fear of thunder. Despite pleas from his girlfriend, John can’t live without Ted, even after they come to blows! Thankfully for these two, things always work out in the end!

These hetero-life-mates became a staple of Kevin Smith comedies after making their debut appearance in 1994’s Clerks. These drug dealing New Jersey palls have they stuck together through thick and thing, whether it means saving the world from fallen angels or just freestyling in front of the Quick Stop. Though Jay gets all the best lines, fans always eagerly await the one piece of sagely wisdom that Silent Bob is known to give once per movie.

#7 - Harold and Kumar “Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle” (2004)


Another duo from New Jersey, these buddies are roommates who also spend every moment of downtime together. On one fateful night, their strange bond leads them on a harrowing quest for a late night snack. Everything that happens along the way only strengthens their relationship, including getting arrested by a racist police officer, riding a cheetah and getting propositioned for a hillbilly threesome!

#6 - Schmidt and Jenko “21 Jump Street” (2012)


These under cover cops prove that opposites attract! Charged with going undercover to infiltrate a high school drug ring, these pals pretend to be brothers and remain completely inseparable throughout. Although their intimate moment in the bathroom is certainly memorable, it’s their dove filled entrance to prom immortalized their bromance for all time.

#5 - Shaun and Ed “Shaun of the Dead” (2004)


With these actors being best friends in real life, their friendship is translated seamlessly to the big screen. These inseparable pals do everything together, even to the degree that their friendship damages Shaun’s professional and romantic life. Even when confronted with the zombie apocalypse, all of their plans involve grabbing a pint together. Even though Ed is zombified in the end, this does little to derail their lasting friendship. So bromantic…

These inseparable high school pals were made for each other! Though on the surface they seem to be only motivated by a desire to get laid before graduation, throughout the film Seth remains terrified that College will be the end of their friendship. Amidst the endless stream of obscenities and shenanigans, Seth and Evan actually manage to deliver a touching tale of friendship that his hard to match.

This bromance is so powerful, that many consider it the only time that Keanu Reeves has expressed any genuine emotion on film! Like other dudes on this list, these two love to get high together. However, unlike their peers they also play wicked guitar and travel through space and time just so they can pass their history report. Along the way they even learn that their relationship is the key to the future of the human race…how awesome is that?

#2 - Wayne and Garth “Wayne's World Series” (1992-1993)


These pals live together in Wayne’s parent’s basement and even have their own Mirth Mobile. Inseparable buddies, they have a late night cable access program where they play music and ogle pictures of women together. From chilling on the hood of their car and watching planes take off, to their Laverne and Shirley montage, to Wayne learning that Garth finally got pubes, things often get weird with these two.

Taking the top spot on our list are the idiotic and childish pals who, surprise, surprise…also live together! Sharing more then just their lives, but a similar fashion sense, they ride together across the country in order to return a briefcase. Along the way, these pals reveal how inseparable men can be through their unfathomably amount mischief, and even choose the solitude of their friendship over a bus load of bikini models.
