These "Sister Sister" moments were the envy of everybody without a twin. Our countdown includes when they meet, when they fall for Roger, when they learn about their mother, and more!

#10: When They Meet
“The Meeting”

5 Times Young Sheldon's Missy Was the Best Sister to Sheldon & 5 Times It Was Penny

Can you imagine running into someone at the mall that has your exact same face? Well that’s exactly how it happened for Tia and Tamera (in the show, of course, not real life!). Separated at birth, these twins are shocked to find each other in a mall. Wearing similar clothes, they drive one of the mall workers crazy as he goes back and forth trying to help the twins who he thinks are the same girl. This moment sets up the premise of the show, as well as the kind of situational comedy that was upcoming.

#9: Verique
“Model Tia”

This lighthearted family comedy was not afraid to also dive into some deep and disturbing topics. In an episode warning against the dangers of the Internet, Tia's online friend offers her a modeling gig and Tamera decides to take him up on it, with Tia following closely behind. But they quickly learn that the man who lured the twins to his apartment with ill intent is not the famous photographer Verique at all. As he says himself, thanks to the Internet he can be whoever he wants. How times haven’t changed.

#8: Ray and Lisa’s First Kiss
“The Concert”

When Tia and Tamera found each other, the ultimate odd couple — Ray and Lisa — also were brought together. A lot of hilarious moments stemmed from these two butting heads, but here the hilarity comes out of them locking lips. While reminiscing on past loves, Ray and Lisa get swept up in the moment and kiss. With all the mounting tension and growing chemistry between them, this moment was inevitable, but that doesn't make it any less shocking. Shocked themselves, Ray and Lisa both immediately freak out, and are thrown into a panic and literally run away from each other.

#7: When They Try Out for the Hockey Team
“Some Like It Hockey”

Also in:

Top 10 Best Drake & Josh Moments

Tackling yet another heavy subject matter, the twins take on a sexist school rule saying that only boys can try out for the hockey team. To battle the school policy, and put their chauvinistic male classmates in their place, Tia and Tamera disguise themselves as boys and try out for the hockey team. Not only do they play well enough to make the team, they skate circles around their male counterparts. Then they shed their boyish disguises to show the erstwhile macho men who actually beat them, showing that girls can compete in sports with boys, no problemo.

#6: When They Fall for Roger
“When a Man Loves Two Women”

Also in:

Top 10 Worst Patrick Star Moments

Roger has always been pining over Tia and Tamera, but this time they are the ones pining over him. Roger seriously blossoms over the summer, and the girls find themselves extremely attracted to him. He went from the annoying boy next door to a teenage heartthrob. Not used to all the attention, Roger dates both Tia and Tamera, as well as all the other girls in school, who end up fighting over him. But don’t worry, the twins get him back for his insensitive behavior, and this time with a little bit more than just their usual, “go home, Roger”.

#5: When They Make The C-Squad
“Sis Boom Bah”

In an effort to jump social status into the popular crowd, Tia and Tamera try out for the cheerleading team. But the vindictive captain, Wendy, only puts them on the C-Squad, which is full of talented students who just don’t fit into the image she’s trying to uphold. Though initially discouraged, Tia and Tamera rally their teammates and make the most out of their situation. They turn the C-Squad into the team that the A-Squad is envious of. And when Wendy comes back to offer them spots on the A-Squad, they tell her to take a hike, they’ve already got a team.

#4: Tamera Has a Dream
“I Have a Dream”

With high school graduation looming closer, Tamera is terrified of going to college and facing the cold, cruel real world. After dodging studying for her Black history final, Tamera dreams about Black historical figures who were also frightened before they did extraordinary things that would change the world. In her dreams, Tamera meets historical figures such as Harriet Tubman and Bessie Coleman, and has to convince them to go after what seem like impossible goals. Learning that her heroes were once unsure of themselves too, gives her the confidence to face her future.

#3: When Tamera Sings "I'm Going Down" at the School Talent Show
“The Audition”

Also in:

Top 10 Shocking Drag Race Talent Show Moments

It’s always great when we get to see actors lend some of their other talents to their characters. So getting to see Tamera sing is a real treat. But this moment also gives us a double whammy, with the usually lighthearted and carefree Tamera getting to show off her more dramatic side. Tamera plans on singing "I'm Going Down" for a big audition, but she is too blissfully happy with her boyfriend to deliver a soulful and profound performance… that is, until she thinks about the high school bully stealing her boyfriend, and she channels all that hurt into her art and steals the show.

#2: When They Learn About Their Mother
“You Are So Beautiful”

Also in:

Top 10 Most Relatable How I Met Your Mother Moments

One of the long running story arcs in the show is the search for the truth behind Tia and Tamera’s birth parents. Though their adoptive parents are super-awesome, no one can blame the twins for wondering. Late in the series, Tia and Tamera find their birth father, but unfortunately, they were too late to meet their birth mother. While Ray and Lisa try to help the twins find out about their birth parents, they find a mural their mother painted. Though it wasn't what they were expecting, it’s a beautiful peek into their birth mother's heart.
