Leave it all to these Miranda Cosgrove moments. Our countdown includes "Big Time Rush," "Drake & Josh," "School of Rock," and more!

#10: “Big Time Christmas”
“Big Time Rush” (2009-13)

Top 10 Moments That Made Us Love Cher

There’s just one thing standing between the boys of Big Time Rush and their Christmas vacation: They have to come up with three new holiday songs before they go. Oh yeah, and there’s one more catch. Luckily, Miranda Cosgrove just happens to be hosting a big TV special. How will they get on it? It wouldn’t be Big Time Rush if the answer didn’t involve a poorly conceived plan and resulting wacky hijinks. But by some Christmas Miracle, Miranda is willing to hear them out. Okay, maybe more genetic luck than Christmas Miracle. But naturally everything comes together for the boys, and we all enjoy a festive cover of a Christmas classic featuring Cosgrove. Even Fabio gets to join in on the fun.

#9: “iParty With Victorious”
“iCarly” (2007-12)

Nickelodeon knows how to deliver on the crossovers. Love is in the air when Carly starts dating a guy named Steven. The only downside is that he spends half his time in LA. Well, that and the way he fills his social life while he’s there. When Carly and “Victorious’” Tori Vega find out that they’re being two-timed by the same guy, they combine forces to take him down. With a helping hand from Keenan Thompson, they leverage the power of iCarly to expose Steven’s cheating ways to the whole internet. Watching two of Nickelodeon’s best shows come together was iconic, and it wasn’t even over yet. The episode would culminate in an impossibly catchy mashup of the two theme songs, leaving us begging for more.

#8: Delightfully Despicable
“Despicable Me” franchise (2010-)

Though most of Miranda’s best known work is on television, she makes her time on the big screen count. Since 2010 she has portrayed Margo in the “Despicable Me” franchise. Raking in $3.7 billion to date, the series is the highest grossing animated film franchise of all time. As the oldest of the trio of sisters adopted by supervillain Gru, Margo is direct and mature. Cosgrove’s performance adds a lot of genuine warmth to this character. And just the right amount of sass for good measure. She obviously enjoys getting to play this part, and off screen Miranda seems to share her audience’s love of all things despicable.

#7: “Megan!”
“Drake & Josh” (2004-07)

Top 10 Times Megan Mullally & Nick Offerman Made Us Believe in Love

Cosgrove was only 10 years old when she landed her first major part on this Nickelodeon sitcom. As the younger sister of the titular duo, she still managed to steal the scene on the regular. Megan was a constant source of gleeful torment to her brothers, with an endless series of pranks that ran the gamut from mischievous, to deviously complicated. All under a sweet and innocent facade that kept their parents off track, of course. Time and again, Drake and Josh found that they were just no match for Megan. The girl had impressive evil genius potential going for her, and we couldn’t help but love it.

#6: “About You Now” (2009)

Miranda first showed the world her multitalented bonafides when she recorded the theme song to her show “iCarly.” Then in 2009 she made her first real foray into music with her cover of the Sugababes song “About You Now.” The single became one of her biggest successes as a singer, charting as high as 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 and being her first song to become a hit in Europe. She even had an opportunity to sing it during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. In 2009 she would release an extended play EP also called “About You Now.” Though it was intended as a promotion and not an official musical debut, it paved the way for later projects like the album “Sparks Fly.”

#5: Reacting With Josh Peck

Though their onscreen relationship was usually an antagonistic one, in real life Miranda Cosgrove and Josh Peck have a close bond. In 2018 she appeared on his YouTube channel to relive their child actor pasts together. While watching clips from their careers, the two reminisce about their professional beginnings, and their experiences in the industry. They also enjoy poking fun at their cringiest moments. Although, to be honest, what they think of as cringey is mostly just hilarious. Really, the best part is watching these former co-stars having so much fun together.

#4: Acuvue Inspire Award
“14th Teen Choice Awards” (2012)

Many young performers find themselves becoming role models to their fans, and some handle it better than others. Miranda Cosgrove has never had any problem with the position though. In 2012 she was honored with the Teen Choice Awards’ Acuvue Inspire award in recognition of her work both on and off screen. Accepting her surfboard, Cosgrove’s remarks were humble and authentic. In her brief speech she turned the focus from herself back to the people who have been at the center of her outreach work. Gracious and grounded, she left no doubt that she deserved her recognition that night.

#3: iCarly Reunion
“34th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards” (2021)

After a show has ended the only way to revisit the characters we love is to rewatch the old episodes. So when Miranda Cosgrove reunited with her “iCarly” castmates Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress at the 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards it was definitely something to celebrate. As well as presenting a blimp that night, the trio took time to talk about the upcoming reboot of ‘iCarly.” The cast wasn’t ready to give everything away of course. While these new elements are exciting, we all know that everyone has just one question on their minds: What about Carly and Freddie? We guess we’re just going to have to watch the show to find out.

#2: A Rocking Big Screen Debut
“School of Rock” (2003)

Top 10 Most Awesome Real Life Bill Murray Moments

Miranda’s streak of playing girls who are the most competent people in the room started right from her breakout role in the 2003 Jack Black movie “School of Rock.” As the aggressively overachieving Summer Hathaway she isn’t initially appreciated by her substitute teacher, Dewey, but he eventually comes up with the perfect job for her. Summer takes her new role in stride. She was an excellent class factotum, but it’s clear that she needed a bigger challenge for her talents. Let’s face it, a preteen rock band needs someone behind the scenes who can keep everything in line. Summer may only be a kid herself, but we’d put her in charge any day.

#1: Playing Carly Shay
“iCarly” (2007-12)

Top 10 Unhinged Ryan Gosling Quotes About Playing Ken

In all of Miranda Cosgrove’s career, this is by far the most significant role she has played so far. “iCarly” was a big success for Nickelodeon, and her portrayal of the main character, Carly Shay, has become iconic for a whole generation of fans. Carly had a life plenty of people would envy. She had amazing friends, very little supervision from her older brother, and she was way ahead of the curve with her hit web series. For six seasons we loved every minute of Carly’s escapades with her lovable circle of sidekicks. Saying goodbye was tough, but luckily it wasn’t the end. Cosgrove will be returning soon with an “iCarly” reboot from Paramount Plus!
