Rob Zombie's musical career began in 1985 when he founded the rock/metal band White Zombie. After gaining cult and mainstream status in the early 1990s, the group officially disbanded in 1998, shortly after Zombie released his first solo record. He has since been nominated for Grammy Awards as a solo artist three times as Best Metal Act. Zombie has also played with such acts as Alice Cooper, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Slash, Tommy Lee and Ace Frehley, and toured with the likes of Lacuna Coil and Ozzy Osbourne.
