Top 10 Craziest Things To Happen in Grand Theft Auto Online

It’s the game the refuses to die… and that’s a good thing! Welcome to, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 Craziest Things To Happen in “Grand Theft Auto Online.”

For this list, we’re looking at the craziest moments to happen inside the wonderful world of “GTA Online,” as well as absolutely insane real-life moments that resulted (in one way or another) from the mega-hit, multiplayer sandbox title. Be prepared to laugh, gasp and marvel at these ridiculous moments.

#10: Sky Whirlpool Derby

Imagine a giant toilet bowl lodged a couple of hundred feet in the air. Now, picture a destruction derby taking place on the seat of the toilet, where the aim is to knock (perhaps “flush” is the better word) your opponents into the center of the bowl and send them hurtling toward Earth and certain death. That’s a pretty crazy visual, but when it comes to “GTA Online” it’s only our tenth craziest entry – now that’s saying something about how wacky this game really is! Those lads over at the YouTube Channel Slogoman truly have some creative imaginations!

#9: Giant Windmill of Death

YouTube user Nicolas Howard noticed something quite strange when he logged into an online session and drove out of his garage: a giant windmill sitting right smack dab in the middle of an intersection, wrecking anything brave enough to enter its spinning blades. Another YouTube user by the name of jettGaming tried to use a tank to get past the windmill and into the Parking garage, he succeeded … but lost the Tank. These Windmills were likely the result of a hacker having some fun with the online community and not the result of a glitch. This is Grade-A Griefing. Sometimes you just have to give it up to hackers for their creative visions of mayhem.

#8: “Frogger” (GTA Style)

Remember that classic arcade game with the incredibly pixelated little green frog trying to get from one side of the road to the other while avoiding cars, trucks, buses and so on? Of course you do. We all loved “Frogger!” And YouTuber LispyJimmy’s “GTA Online” version of that game is similar, only his includes his protagonist and a few online friends braving a cramped Los Santos highway during rush hour. The rules are simple: Cross the road without dying. Should be easy right?

#7: Automobile Avalanche

Imagine yourself standing on a steep strip of pavement jutting out of the sea that climbs sharply towards the sky as cars come careening at you from above. Think you can make it to the top? We wouldn’t bet on it. If you thought “Frogger” (GTA Style) was hard, you’re in for the challenge of a lifetime. Automobile Avalanche is equal parts creative, unbelievably funny and just a tad sadistic. To be completely honest, we’re not even sure it’s possible to make it to the top, but the real fun simply comes from trying again and again as seen here on The Ivaneh YouTube Channel. Prepare to die… a lot.

#6: Liquor Hole Legend

File this happening under, “Wow! Just Wow!” By now the Liquor Hole Legend skydiving stunt has been completed many times in the base game as well as the online version, and there’s plenty of evidence online showing the insane results, such as this clip from player I-Orion-I on reddit. But, YouTuber Ash Skyqueen took the stunt to new heights in a free mode session by hitting a jump on her motorbike, dismounting in mid air and skydiving through the hole of the sign. Franklin’s skydiving missions were hard enough, but this stunt is on a whole other level of difficulty. Ten-out-of-ten for effort, and ten-out-of-ten for style.

#5: 100 Snowballs

Quick question: can 100 snowballs blow up a car? Well, we lost count after 10 or so, but the answer sure seems to be a resounding “Yes!” as seen here on the GTAmissions YouTube Channel. That sports car was no match for the (clearly) superior Los Santos snow. But, how about a tank? Well, unfortunately, no… not even that dense Los Santos snow is strong enough to blow up a tank with 100 snowballs as our friends over at GTAmissions demonstrate. There’s a lesson to be learned in all this: when playing online, save your money and buy the tank because obviously these GTA sports cars are not made to last.

#4: Cheater vs. Cheater

This story feels like an Internet myth, but it’s very real. According to Kotaku; A long-time GTA 5 player started a new game online and just happened to enter a server where a hacker was cheating and getting other gamers banned by shooting bags of money at them. As you can probably guess, the long-time GTA player had money forced on him by the cheater, was flagged by Rockstar and sent to the Bad Sport Lobby as a result. What did he do? He, in turn, hired a hacker to help get him out of the Bad Sport Lobby of course … and incredibly it worked, proving that two wrongs make a right. No, wait. That’s not right!

#3: 999 Emergency

This is one of those moments when gamers go too far, as quote/unquote “confused player” David Helens (we’ll let you decide) called the British Emergency Services (the equivalent of 911) claiming that there’d been a shooting at his house. What he failed to leave out, however, was that it was his house in “GTA Online.” Claiming that his friend was shot and bleeding badly, two ambulances arrived at the gamer’s real house and that’s where the law got involved, forcing the young dumbass to perform 12 months of community service.

#2: Selfie Man

Talk about being dedicated to a video game! YouTube user jonan777 took selfies of his character in and around the Los Santos area and then followed this up by taking real-life pictures of himself in the exact same California-inspired locales. Is this an example of Life Imitates Art or Art Imitates Life? We can’t decide. Whichever it is, one thing’s for sure: it’s absolutely amazing! Also, on the plus side, he’s sure to have burned quite a few calories in the process, strolling around the LA area rather than sitting on the couch playing games all day.

#1: Family Karma

Another unbelievable “GTA Online” inspired story ripped straight from the headlines in England saw police called to a man’s house when his brother turned up with a baseball bat, threatening to harm the homeowner and his family. Why the homicidal rage between these two unidentified brothers? Well, the younger brother had killed the older brother’s online character, sending him into a bit of a tizzy. The enraged older brother actually drove 50 miles just to threaten his younger brother, making us wonder if this family is somehow related to the Phillips family – particularly, Trevor.
