#10: The Uber Sleeper Cell
"Andy vs Uber"

Nathan wants to help a local taxi company compete with Uber, and naturally, instead of making the business better, he decides to make the competiton look worse. Nathan encourages disgruntled taxi drivers to drive for Uber. Once on the inside, the drivers can give terrible rides to make the service look bad, creating an”Uber sleeper cell” that Nathan could activate at anytime to force the company to meet his demands. So the next time you have a bad Uber driver, you might want to check if Nathan’s nearby.

#9: Creating A Real Clothing Line
“Horseback Riding/Man Zone”

Most of Nathan’s strategies rely on clever deception. His Summit Ice line, however, is the one idea that fights for truth. It all starts when Nathan sees a tribute to a holocaust denier in a clothing catalogue. When he realizes that the catalogue is from the company that makes his favorite windjacket, he creates Summit Ice. Summit Ice is an apparel company that pledges to educate people about the Holocaust while donating the profits to holocaust education. In the show, his Summit Ice promotion is rejected for being a bit too intense for the store. Back in the real world, his company has succeeded in raising over 100,000 dollars for holocaust education.

#8: The Smoking Performance
“Smokers Allowed”

California law prohibits everyone from smoking inside of bars...with one exception. Nathan learns that smoking is allowed indoors if you can prove it’s part of a live theatre performance. In order to exploit this loophole, he brings real smokers into the 1881 Club. What he doesn’t tell them is that an audience will be watching them as they light up. Nathan’s ridiculous legal plot technically qualifies as a real play. Unfortunately for the audience, it’s a play with no plot, action or point. Nathan may be a mad genius when it comes to business, but he should leave theatre to the professionals.

#7: Creating a Hero
"The Hero"

Nathan takes a break from helping businesses to turn the ordinary Corey into a hero. Nathan announces that Corey will walk on a tightrope to promote breast cancer awareness. However, Corey had zero tightrope walking experience. Instead of giving him training, Nathan volunteers to become Corey and do the stunt himself. In order to convince audiences that he’s really Corey, Nathan physically alters his own appearance and copies Corey’s mannerisms. His imitation pays off when Corey...we mean, Nathan, pulls off the thrilling stunt and lets the real Cory take the credit. Although the whole event was an elaborate lie, the real Corey’s genuine smile gave this bizarre endeavor a heartwarming conclusion.

#6: Viral Video
"Santa / Petting Zoo"

A viral video can lead to instant fame, and in this episode, Nathan hopes to capitalize on that trend to help a petting zoo. He proposes that a pig should rescue a baby goat from drowning in one of the petting zoo’s ponds. Nathan hires a film crew, animal trainers and a professional show pig to achieve his vision. It takes several attempts, but he eventually gets the perfect shot. The “Goat in the Water” clip exploded online, racking up over 9 million views on YouTube. Despite all their efforts, Nathan never actually credits the petting zoo, but at least the zoo will always have “Goat in the Water’ to cheer them up.

#5: The Ultimate Rebate
"Gas Station / Caricature Artist"

Americans have gotten used to high gas prices. So when Nathan partners with a gas station to offer reduced prices after a rebate, drivers rush in for cheap gas. However, the only way to get the discount is to hike up a nearby mountain and deposit a signed rebate form in a special box. Surprisingly, a group of thrifty drivers insists on making the trip. In response, Nathan adds obstacles like riddles and a mandatory overnight camping trip to try to scare customers off. When that fails, he admits that they’ll never find the rebate box. Fortunately they’re not upset by the reveal...in fact, they actually enjoy the camping trip.

#4: A Crazy Kimmel Story
"The Anecdote"

When Nathan is scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live, he becomes obsessed with telling a good story. Instead of talking about his wild business ideas, he creates an entirely new story. To make it authentic, Nathan makes every detail of his wacky tale happen in real life. This includes wearing an oversized suit, attending a complete stranger's wedding and getting stopped by a cop. By the time he’s convincing a strangers’ mother to give him hair samples to turn into ashes, we question if the story’s gone too far. However, his monologue turns out be a hit on Kimmel. We could describe the story, but this crazy ride is worth seeing for yourself.

#3: Sex Box
"Hotel / Travel Agent"

No one wants to hear their parents getting intimate. That idea is the motivation behind Nathan’s “sex box.” He believes that parents would travel to hotels more if they could get busy without their children being able to hear. So he builds a soundproof box big enough for a kid. To test his concept, Nathan hires a child actor to sit in the box as 2 adult performers simulate sex nearby. After the first test, Nathan adds five more adult performers to create an orgy of sound. Fortunately, the kid doesn’t see or hear any of it. Even though the box works, we’re not sure if any parent would go through with this insane idea.

#2: Claw of Shame
"The Claw of Shame"

Nathan’s quirky ideas force businesses to take big risks. In order to prove that he can do the same, he designs “the claw of shame” special. In the dramatic event, Nathan handcuffs himself to a steel frame positioned in front of a group of children. If he fails to free himself in 90 seconds, a robotic claw will pull down his pants, exposing himself to the children and making him an actual sex offender. The extreme idea is shunned by everyone who hears it. Despite the lack of encouragement, Nathan locks himself in and starts the clock. He manages to free himself just in time to save his consulting career.

Before we unveil our top picks, here are a few honorable mentions.

Chili Suit
“Chili Shop / Massage Parlor”

Poo Ice Cream
“Yogurt Shop / Pizzeria”

Guarded Gator Discount
“Electronics Store”

#1: Dumb Starbucks
"Dumb Starbucks"

Nathan’s craziest idea was also his dumbest. A coffee shop was finding it hard to stand out. Nathan suggests that instead of being unique, they should try to imitate someone else. Thus, Dumb Starbucks was born. Nathan builds a coffee shop to mimic the popular Starbucks coffee chain, right down to the menu selection. Since the word “dumb” appeared in front of everything they copied, it was considered to be a parody and was safe from legal action. But it wasn’t safe from a media frenzy...or the health inspectors that shut it down. Although we lost Dumb Starbucks too soon, it will always be remembered as one of Nathan’s most outrageous ideas.
