The idea of putting The Pied Piper of Hamelin in a western setting was doomed from the start. Besides the animation being incredibly ugly after 7 years of stillborn improvement after The Polar Express, the concept and execution are just far too upsetting for a Disney movie. Parents must have noticed this early on, because this movie bombed harder than John Carter.
