The biggest city in the game, Fourside has everything you look for in the city: Famous performers, Crazed Taxis, Corrupt Mayor, and the home of Magnet Hill (Your Sanctuary). You run into Porky again, by the way. You then realize that the city of Fourside may not be the best tourist town...

The first of the eight "Your Sanctuaries" proved to be difficult for first-timers. You confront Black Antoids, Slugs, and the guardian of Giant Step: Titanic Ant. After defeating the insect, you record the first of the Eight Melodies, now claiming Giant Step as your place. One down, seven to go!

After making through Twoson and the Peaceful-Rest Valley. Ness makes it to the Happy-Happy Village. Here, the village has turned to Happy-Happyism. The HQ of Happy-Happyism is located in this village. Crazy cult members will attack you on sight. You also meet Paula, who needs a key to be rescued. The leader of the cult, the Carpainter, has the key.
