This British computer was one of the cheapest systems in the market when introduced in 1982 at ?175 for the 48k model. It became the 1st computer in many British homes at that time.

Developed by Acorn in 1981 with the endorsement of the BBC the BBC Micro was used in schools which was to many British children in 1980's their first intoduction to computers.

Alan Sugar's Amstrad was a late entry to computers in 1980's but they made a success out of their 1st system the CPC due to it's all in one box design.
