This competitor to Steam was publisher exclusive, has servers that are down more often than up, has DRM, and a subscription model for streaming services (effectively meaning you don't own anything you buy).

I think devs need to spend less time hyping up a game and spend more time making sure the game is actually good at launch. The Division had a disappointing launch, but like Assassin's Creed Unity, it got better through future updates.
