Thanks to his overall mentality, it is physically impossible for him to win a fight or any sort of game. Even if he somehow beats his opponent he still considers it a loss.

He has not one a single duel against a character with actual relevance to the plot. He has only won when he has assistance from teammates or if he is fighting a minor character.
