Kroenen from the comic was a decent villain but for the movie Del Toro was allowed to reinvent him as a clockwork Cyborg. Aside from being creative in concept Kroenen is a cool and menacing villain and the swords just complete him.

While the first Blade film is decent it's main weakness are it's vampires which are cliche and not very interesting. In the second movie a new breed of Vampires is introduced, alien and creepy while also drawing inspiration from Nosferatu.
