He's a character that's hits very close to home. He represents the powerless even into the end, as some root for him for doing what they felt they couldn't do.

I almost feel like he should be at the top. The show is almost something of a redemption story of him. We also get to see his earnest attempts to do good, while in real life things like that may go unnoticed. He loves kids, and is willing to reject any sum of money.
Hey that's GUSTAVO Fringe to you! He could almost be at the top of this list too, since we see so much of him and know so little by comparison. He's hospitable and calculating. But not selfish or unrealistic.
