“Has a very obvious western influence, punchy dialogue, and great action. Yojimbo, from it's first tracking shot to it's last lines of punchy dialogue, serves as an early, and excellent, example of an action film. This one's truly an example of how thoughtfully Kurosawa caries about a story. ”
“Sure, it's an adaption of Macbeth... but Toshiro Mifune's excellent performance, the moody cinematography, and chilling final scene inspired awe in me. A brilliant film on it's own; it can be unfair that people just consider it a 'good Macbeth adaption' ”
