Just because it's popular, doesn't mean it's good. Akira is a well made movie but not the best and does not deserve the 1st spot.

This is a more mature, better directed and deeper movie than Mononoke or Akira. If you don't know this movie, you know nothing of anime! It's only issue is that it's not as popularized as Akira or Mononoke. Oh, btw, Mononoke is not for adults, it's still for children. Yeah, for children, despite the blood, because it has no extremes, all characters
