Gamers face hundreds of different henchmen, hordes and other generic fodder on their way to completing a level or boss battle. More often than not, they can get rather annoying after a while, especially if there’s little variety to them. However, there are a select few enemies that we NEVER get tired of ripping to pieces. We loving nothing more than to butcher the following ten groups because it’s either way too much fun, or they just really just deserve it.
#10: Ants
“Earth Defense Force†series (2007-)
Giant insects might sound like a nightmare, but another way of looking at it is that you have a bigger target to test out your bazooka on!
#9: Soldiers
“Dynasty Warriors†series (1997-)
We don’t know where these guys keep coming from, but we’re more than happy to cut them down with our oversized swords.
#8: Necromorphs
“Dead Space†series (2008-13)
These things don’t go do without a fight, which is why its so gratifying to blast off all their limbs and smash their heads in with our boot heel. Serves them right for scaring us half to death!
#7: Stormtroopers
“Star Wars: The Force Unleashed†series (2008-10)
It doesn’t matter if these ones can actually shoot straight, it won’t do them any good when they get sent flying into oblivion with a single force push!
#6: Nazis
“Wolfenstein: The New Order†(2014)
As we fight to free the west from the tyranny of the Third Reich, we learn that the only good Nazi is a dead one!
#5: Everything
“Doom†(2016)
When a portal to hell opens up and demons start spilling out, there’s only one option. Grab as many guns (and a chainsaw) as possible and send them all packing. Nothing beats those sweet execution scenes!
#4: Grunts
“Halo†(2001-)
After having to deal with the overwhelming force of the Covenant’s elite members, not to mention the Flood, it’s nice to just kick back, pump your shotgun and go to town on these pint-sized pests.
#3: Angels
“Bayonetta†series (2009-14)
Hardly benevolent, these denizens of Paradiso are nothing more than radiant monsters in need of being sniped down. Luckily our favourite witch has more than a few torture techniques for just the occasion.
#2: Skeletons
“Diablo†series (1996-2014)
In need of grinding your stats up before taking on the menace that is Diablo? These boneheads ought to do the trick!
#1: Orcs
“Middle-earth†series (2014-)
Each have their own personality, and each are begging for a blade to the face. After hearing their trash-talking, slicing off their heads is an absolute pleasure.
