Anime Star Wars Is Everything
KÅhei Horikoshi is the man responsible for giving us the modern superhero juggernaut that is My Hero Academia; an engrossing manga that offers a fresh yet nostalgic look at costumed crusaders. It also happened to receive an anime adaptation that viewers have flocked to. All in all, it’s one hell of a series that has the potential to become a classic. Perhaps similar to the one found a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?
As it happens, Horikoshi is a huge Star Wars fan, one who was more than eager to lend his talents to drawing out a bonus page in Shonen Jump featuring the characters of The Last Jedi. Needless to say the results are incredible!
According to an article on Crunchyroll –
Star Wars: Episode VIII â The Last Jedi will be opening in Japan as well as the US on December 15th. This week’s issue of Shonen Jump feels the Force with a bonus from an artist named KÅhei Horikoshi. He’s an artist who dabbled in action sci-fi himself with 2012’s short-lived manga Barrage. You might know him better for his follow-up, a series called My Hero Academia!
Horikoshi comments that he feels honored to be involved with Star Wars in this way. He looks forward to seeing more of the relationship between Luke and Rey, as well as the meaning of the title.
He also mentions that he loves Kylo Ren and even geeks out about seeing the AT-M6 mech in action.
Now we want to see a Star Wars spin-off in the art style of My Hero Academia! Or at least some kind of impossible crossover. We can imagine Todoroki and Kylo Ren would have more than a few things in common…
