Ecchi Never Dies
Eromanga Sensei was something truly special. A show of such obscene lewdness that it transcended all other trashy anime of a similar nature to become something onto itself. The pinnacle of perverted Japanese animation that trampled all over good taste by daring to ask “just how much incest can we get away with?”
And anime fans loved it. They hated themselves afterwards, but loved it none the less.
And now its back, with a special episode set for early next year.
According to an article on Crunchyroll –
Good news for fans of anime, comedy, and light novels: the animated adaptation of Eromanga Sensei will continue in 2018 with the production of a new original animation video. The new project was announced at the “Eromanga Fes” live event, which was held on November 12, 2017, at the Maihama Ampitheater in Maihama, Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
So far, no further details about the new OAV have been released. The original Eromanga Sensei light novels are written by Tsukasa Fushimi and illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki and published in Japan by Dengeki Bunko under their ASCII Media Works imprint.
The 2017 Eromanga Sensei TV anime is directed by Ryohei Takeshita and features animation by A-1 Pictures. Crunchyroll describes the series as follows:
Masamune Izumi is a high school student who writes light novels. Sagiri Izumi is a shut-in who never leaves her room. A year ago, she became Masamuneâs little sister. But one day, Masamune discovers a shocking twistâThe artist “Eromanga Sensei,” who has been drawing illustrations for his novels, is none other than his little sister Sagiri! His cute little shut-in of a sister, who has been living under his roof, is using an obscene pen name and draws lewd illustrations?!
It’s good to know that before we hit the New Year, there’s already a horizon of trash waiting for us on the other side. It’s hard to say if we are excited to see what new amazing awfulness it will bring, or if we’re just plain terrified.
