VOICE OVER: Phoebe de Jeu WRITTEN BY: Timothy MacAusland
As one might expect from an awesome Bounty Hunter, the Mandalorian has had some pretty fantastic kills. For this list, we'll be looking at the most awesome times Din Djarin put someone in the ground, be they creatures, droids, or anywhere in between. Our countdown includes The Client's Stormtroopers, Gor Koresh, Kaba Baiz, Lang, and more!

Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Mandalorian Kills. For this list, we’ll be looking at the most awesome times Din Djarin put someone in the ground, be they creatures, droids, or anywhere in between. We’ll be drawing from the first two seasons of “The Mandalorian” in addition to “The Book of Boba Fett,” so if you’re not caught up, there will be spoilers. Tell us your favorite Mando kill in the comments! After all, this is the way.

#10: Cantina Patrons

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

“The Mandalorian” prides itself on being a space western, and what better way to introduce a western hero than with a saloon brawl? The series premiere opens on Mando tracking a bounty to a cantina on the planet Pagodon. There, he’s immediately accosted by a couple trawlers who take interest in his beskar armor. Making sure his mark knows how dangerous he is, Mando stabs the human trawler before keeping the Quarren one from escaping. The Quarren takes a potshot at Mando, but the latter silences him by triggering the door, resulting in a gruesome bisection. Yeah, we’re guessing that one would’ve preferred being brought in warm.

#9: Gor Koresh

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

Much like our last entry, this one kicks off the next season with a statement kill. Or should we say kills. Looking to find other Mandalorians, Mando confers with a gangster named Gor Koresh at a Gamorrean fight. When Koresh similarly tries to boost Mando’s beskar armor, Mando responds in kind. Despite being outnumbered, Mando easily dispatches any nearby goons before tracking down a fleeing Koresh. After stringing him up, Mando grills Koresh for the information he needs. But when Koresh asks to be released, Mando simply lets the wild dogs that roam the city streets finish him off. Let it never be said Mando isn’t kind to animals.

#8: Guard Droids

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

This heist episode sees Mando teaming up with multiple deplorable individuals, but it’s droids that get it the worst, much to Mando’s delight. The crew tries its best to avoid the security droids during a rescue mission on a prison ship, but finds itself pinned down anyway. Just when it seems Mando has abandoned his compatriots, he reappears to wreck absolute shop. He uses the droids’ incoordination against them, before decapitating them, torching them, and blasting them at point-blank range. Later, after being double-crossed, Mando even manages to escape from his cell by ambushing a droid in the coolest possible way. Sheez, Mando, tell us how you really feel about droids.

#7: Lang

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

Another staple of the western genre is the gunslinger standoff, and this may be the best instance of it on “The Mandalorian.” While Ahsoka infiltrates the Calodan compound and engages with leader Morgan Elsbeth, Mando has a tense standoff with Elsbeth’s hired help Lang. Lang merely waxes poetic about the fight they’re listening to, and no one makes a move until it sounds like Ahsoka has won. Lang feigns surrender, only to pull another blaster on Mando. Only Mando is faster, putting an end to the mercenary. It’s not a flashy kill, but it follows a nerve-wracking and atmospheric confrontation in a very satisfying way.

#6: Dark Trooper

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

Unless you’re a Jedi, the Dark Troopers are tantamount to cheating. While Mando can’t handle all of them, he deserves serious kudos for taking down just one. During the mission to save Grogu in the Season 2 finale, Moff Gideon sets his Dark Troopers upon the rescue team. Mando tries to cut them off, but one makes it out of the containment unit. With such strong armor and powerful hydraulics, the Dark Trooper holds a significant advantage. But Mando’s able to exploit openings by setting its core on fire and stabbing its neck area with his beskar spear. It’s a serious struggle, but Mando is able to decapitate the thing and prevent the others from joining in… for now.

#5: Riot Mar

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

What would this list be without a kill coming directly from Mando’s trusty spaceship, the Razor Crest… RIP. This episode opens with bounty hunter Riot Mar pursuing the Razor Crest in the hopes he can recover Grogu from Mando. As if Mando needed any more incentive to protect his little green buddy, Mar even has the gall to steal Mando’s iconic line. Seemingly pinned down, Mando’s able to employ the age-old tactic of slamming on the brakes, putting Mar’s ship in his line of sight. He doesn’t miss the opportunity to waste the wannabe bounty hunter and reclaim his intellectual property.

#4: Jetpack Kill

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

One thing we love about Mando is his ability to find new and creative ways to kill his enemies, even when he’s caught off guard. While riding a speeder bike across Tatooine, Mando is ambushed by a band of raiders who cause him to crash. Mando’s able to fend them off, but the fight stops when one of them threatens Grogu. Mando wisely agrees to a bargain, but the raider probably didn’t expect that acquiring the jetpack would backfire. Once Grogu is safe, Mando activates the jetpack remotely, sending the raider flying. Once he’s high enough, Mando simply shuts the jetpack back off and lets gravity do the rest. That’ll teach him.

#3: The Client’s Stormtroopers

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

At this point, we know how strong Mando’s bond with Grogu is. But back in episode 3, we were just getting a taste the Mandalorian’s paternal instincts. After retrieving and protecting Grogu, Mando initially completes the bounty by turning him in to the Client. However, Mando’s conscience eventually gets the better of him, leading to a breach of the compound. The place is littered with stormtroopers, but Mando makes like a horror villain and takes them out one-by-one with brutal precision. From stabbing to burning to laser darts, it’s clear that Mando isn’t messing around when it comes to Grogu.

#2: Kaba Baiz

“The Book of Boba Fett” (2021-22)

The Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian” led us to wonder how Mando would do with the Darksaber going forward, but here came “The Book of Boba Fett” to answer some of those questions. This mid-season reintroduction to Mando sees a bounty bring him to a Klatooinian abattoir and head honcho Kaba Baiz. Baiz naturally doesn’t comply, forcing Mando to run through his goons with the Darksaber. He still hasn’t gotten the hang of it yet, but tell that to the Klatooinians who get completely eviscerated by it. Especially Baiz himself, who becomes the newest bit of sliced meat in his slaughterhouse.

#1: Krayt Dragon

“The Mandalorian” (2019-)

We love the ground-level feel “The Mandalorian” brings to “Star Wars,” but even it knows how to create a show-stopping set piece. In the Season 2 premiere, Mando comes into conflict with Cobb Vanth, marshal of Mos Pelgo who erroneously wears Mandalorian armor. In exchange for the armor, Mando agrees to help Vanth with the town’s krayt dragon problem. The team’s first attempt at blowing up the sand monster is unsuccessful, but Mando never says die. He gets the krayt dragon to swallow both him and a bantha lined with explosives before blowing it up from the inside. The money shot of Mando flying out of the beast alone makes this his best kill.
